If you go through the past archives you will see how accurately one can predict timing using Ashtakavarga system. I shall try to answer you questions and others can correct me if my understanding is not correct. Q) 1. Is ashtakabarga considered an independent platform for predictions? A) Ashtakavarga is considered as a system for finding out the true strength of planet. It is a part and parcel of Vedic Astrology. Ashtakavarga considers strength of planets relative to each other. Try to study Sarvashtakavarga closely and see how planets distribute their total bindus across 12 houses and in relative to planet position if will answer some of your questions. Some answers like Guru is the greatest benefic (48 bindus) and Mars and Saturn are Malefics (39 bindus total) can also tell u why such planets are considered benefic or malefic. Now we also have a worksheet that Sanjay has created and there are lesson on how to compute the same manually. With this worksheet one can get the total powers of planets Q) 2. How accurate can timing of marriage be done with ashtakavarga system? A) Marriage and all events can be timed very accurately using Ashtakavarga system. We also use Krushna's Ayansma here on this list. Its about 1 degrees less and some seconds than lahiri. From 3rd house its aspecting 7th and 11th house. Its with 4 points hence its sight is neutral. It will deprive the native of sukh of these houses. 2) Lets check the associations with Guru i.e. 6th lord. a) Shani conjoins it b) Guru aspects Moon c) Ketu is in sign of Guru In Navamsa a) Guru is in sign of Venus b) Guru aspects 4th house and Mars and Venus. Now as per points all planets are giving good points but before we come to that we need to check another law which is that planets aspecting House A, B or C i.e. 2nd , 7th or 12th will not give results and their samdharmis will come forward to give result. From her chart. Planets Aspecting House A = none Planets Aspecting House B = Mars and Jupiter Planets Aspecting House C = Sun, Mars, Mercury and Jupiter. So Mars, Jupiter, Sun will not give results it will appoint their samdharmi to come forward to give results. I have left Mercury out as Mercury is lord of house E so it has potential to give result. Saturn is associated with Jupiter so its spoilt so it may not give result despite being lord of House D and Moon is aspected by Guru so again spoilt. The first one being that Venus in Nakshatra of Sun is spoilt. I do know that you are very busy, but whenever you get a chance could you explain this laws that you have given. If both are to gether and aspected by Saturn, means more sexual relations or multiple marriages. Any planet in the fourth place from a planet with less points means subordinate to that planet or acts as samdharmi. If in the 4th place from a planet having more points means opposition. Saturn enhances the quality of Venus in general. But when venus is in the fourth place from Saturn having more points, gives reverse effect. Venus in the nakshtra of Sun, reduces quality of Venus. In Krittika is most worst. Others are bearable. Yes, Venus in the sign of Krittika, Mula or Jayeshta spoils qualities of Venus is given in lessons and also discussed widely in the past archives. Krittika is constellation of Sun and its worst. When we are checking the chart of a Male native and we check or see if Shani is aspecting Venus. We check for Venus as its the barometer for sexuality in Male chart. Just so that I am clear, when we are checking a chart of a Female native we should check for Shani's aspect on Mars as its the barometer for sexuality in female chart. I, as a beginner, am unable to appreciate the validity of points you have mentioned. Perhaps, as I progress through the lessons, I might! But I would like to differ on one count- " attractive and personal cleanliness " . The native is still young and attractive looking for her age (though beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!)but I can definitely vouch that she is the best in her family for personal cleanliness. I am certain her family will also certify this. Your Point # 10 is not clear to me. Can you explain? In sum and substance, are you saying her marriage seems a remote chance?What about her career? Now, can ashtakavarga suggest any remedies? Can you advise? Having born in this world, with whatever defects in the chart, some course correction should be possible to live a normal life. Isn't it? That is regarding income vs expense. Those are Sarvashtakavarga points comparision between 11th house and 12th house. In the natives chart points of 11th house and 12th house are same, meaning that income (11th house) = expense (12th house). Kinda living paycheque to paycheque scenario and no savings. If points of 12th house are more than 11th house then expense will be higher than income which would imply debt. I do not know about remedies so I am unable to answer that quesiton of yours. Want to clarify a few things to ascertain the lagna. 1) Spending trend. With Cap 12th SAV points are more than 11th so her spending trend is more than savings 2) Is Allergic to authorative figure ? Does not like being told what to do or does not respond well to authority ? 6th lord in 10th 3) Is your friend sutbborn, my way or the high way kinda attitude ? Venus to Sun distance > 43 degrees will make venus go out of the grap of Sun. If Saturn aspects it, it makes this worst. If Shani also aspects a luminiary in Rasi or Navamsa then this may deny marriage or cause multiple relations. Now the planet that can check such a venus is Guru. If Venus is with Guru then Guru can check Venus. i.e. such a person will not forget his responsibilities towards his wife and family. On the other hand Venus < 3 degrees looses its venusian qualities. If its retrogate then it may have some power, if its direct and < 3 degrees then it looses all power.
