Yes, history, knowledge transfer, cultures - it is all an interesting area of study. You see, the difference between historians and ppl like us is that - the historians looks from out side, and those like us (who could be referred by some one as 'literary historians' by some), tries to look at things from inside. How much we succeed, fail or diverge depend on our own understanding and knowledge about the whole picture, and the diverse knowledge branches involved. Comparison of Ancient Indian Astrology and the Tajik Astrology is a virgin field of study - waiting for anyone to contribute. So I just tried...a starting...
