Respected Sir,

In the doha it is said " Dhai Akshar Prem ke " means " the two letters

of Prem " . (Not two letters of Rama). It is clear cut that Kabir was

mentioning the 2 and 1/2 letter word Prem. I dont have any ambiguity

in this. But about why 2 and half, I believe it is when we split the

word Prem to constituent letters, we get two full leters (Pa and Ra)

and one half letter,M. M is as in Om. Since it is not complete,

totally it is 2 and half.

If Kabir intended Rama, he would have specifically used that word in

his doha, why must he mention about Prem? He has already mentioned

about Hari in the following doha:

Jab Mein Tha Tab Hari Nahin‚ Jab Hari Hai Mein Nahin

Sab Andhiyara Mit Gaya‚ Jab Deepak Dekhya Mahin

meaning

" When I was there, Hari was not there, when Hari is there, I am not

there, All darkness vanished when I saw the light " .

The true meaning according to my understanding is

" When ego (I) existed in me, God (Hari) didnt exist, when God

existed, my ego left, When I realised the God, all my ignorance

vanished " .

Moreover, he was talking about how to realise the iswhar or Rama in

us. And that is only through Love/Prem. That is what he intended. I

hope I am correct.

Regards,

Jyothi

Bhakta of Sri Rama . Rama Nama is Taraka Nama. Raa--Ma i.e two and

half matras as per Sabdha Sastra. Kabir was initiated in to Sri Rama

Taraka Mantra by hisGuru Sri Swami Ramananda as per his byagraphy in

Bhakta

Vijaya.
