Guest guest
Tropical Astrology deals with a person's external character. Vedic Astrology, however, covers the person's inner character. Let's take the sign Libra as defined in Tropical Astrology. The person is always in 'balance' with its surrounding whether the physical environment or in relationships. There is the constant ajustment seeking the balance of the overall effect which is imparted by the individual via direct or indirect means. However, the individual is under Virgo in Verdic (at least most of it - the 1st 23 - 24 degrees of Tropical Libra for people born between 1950 - 2000). This shows a large portion of Librans in Tropical are meticulous in their work - not shown so explicitly as someone who is a Virgo in Tropical Astrology but still meticulous to a fault always either working behind the scenes to 'touch up' or seeking mental analysis of all around them. No wonder they are so critical inwardly of their loved ones though outwardly they adjust to their loved ones temperament. Interesting isn't it? Tropical Astrology deals with Tropical Houses and Vedic Astrology deals with Vedic Houses. Are they different? Yes. For example the third house in Tropical Astrology deals with TVs, radios. In Vedic Astrology it deals with the arts - the performing arts (not the crafts which comes under the purview of the 5th House). So the third house content can be combined for interpretation purposes but use two charts since each kind of charts has its own definition of the range of the sign being overlaid in that house. But there is a caveat. Some interpretations in the House content for Tropical Astrology and Vedic Astrology contradicts! So in Vedic the performing arts is ruled by the 3rd House. But in Tropical that area is given to the 5th House! (Vedic associates the 5th House with painting and crafts!) Truly one must be cautious when using information from both branches of Astrology. Guest guest
Mr Hokleongk,This is the strangest version I have ever come across. I don't know who has coined this theory?Vedic astrology is quite complete in itself..we don't need to peep here and there..East is east and west is west, and the twain shall never meet. neelamOn 25/02/2008, hockleongk <hockleongk wrote: Tropical Astrology deals with a person's external character. Guest guest
The information I got is from various Vedic and Tropical Astrology sites. This is followed by observation as well. East and west have always meet since time immemorial. , " neelam gupta " <neelamgupta07 wrote: > > Mr Hokleongk, > This is the strangest version I have ever come across. Guest guest
I forgot to add that when both systems contradict, my preference is to give the final decision to Vedic Astrology where House interpretations are concerned. Vedic understands the significance of the House system and has always declared as such in its literature. Not so for Tropical Astrology. , " hockleongk " <hockleongk wrote: > > The information I got is from various Vedic and Tropical Astrology > sites. This is followed by observation as well.
