User defined ayanamsa with 44' more than Lahiri is to be used to have the correct Dasa-bhukti and Vargas. 3. Don't go into research. Follow simple method of Rasi, Navamsa and Vimsottari Dasa. 4. Derive Dasamsa separately as Dasa_Parivrtti i.e. Rasi longitudesx10 devoid of 360s. 5. Study different well known charts with Chitrapaksha Lahiri in contrast to Muladhara Chakram and see which ayanamsa has truth. If not convinced about the truth of ayanamsa and Zodiac, don't practice astrology on humbug mathematics. Zodiac is the instrument of Kundalini, study of the inner light or Jyoti through the symbolism of external macrocosmic lights (grahas). Follow the path of Yoga with the spirit of warriors and don't fall prey to frauds parading as 'teachers'. Bhavani and Her Great Chandala are the only teachers.
