Guest guest
Dear Friends,I thank and congratulate all the learned members who have participated in the exercise. I am sure will be a good learning experience for the group. While our active learned members including Sunil ji, Sreenadh ji, Srinivas ji, Pradeepji, Chandra Hari ji, Renu ji, Vinita ji, Madhu ji, Krishna ji, Souvik ji, name-is-ego ji, K. Gopu ji and Chanduchill ji gave us their valuable inputs and findings, I also appreciate the effort and contribution of Aditya, Gaurav, Bob, Anirudh, Dushyant, etc. I can assure you all that by collating the correct findings we can almost bring out the real person. So much for the great astro-vidya. And the readings were not too wild. Some have hit the bull's eye while some others were pretty close. Some of course were far from reality. But that is what learning is all about…. I'll post the results at 4.00 pm IST. Till then….keep guessingRegardsNeelam

Guest guest
Dear All,Here's the cat out…. An introduction to the lady She wears many hats for she is among the few authorities on the arts who traverses the folk and classical arts, performing and plastic arts, crafts and aesthetics with ease and is known for her crusading spirit for the arts. She is an unusual combination of scholarship and a hands on person who has constantly strived to put the arts centre stage with her multi-disciplinary approach traversing the various media. She is India's first trained art curator, having trained at the Goldsmiths College, London and the Museum of Modern Art in Oxford. She has curated and designed major exhibitions many of which travelled to other parts of the country and the world as well. All the exhibitions were marked by an amazing interplay of indigenous design and their contemporary connect. The detailed catalogues she wrote, designed and edited as part of exhibitions have withstood the test of time and are valid in contemporary global context. The major exhibitions with catalogues of the same name include – Silent Dreams Voluble Realities, Reflections Within, Parallel Realities, Call of the Bamboos – art from the North-East, The Sikhs – soldiers of destiny, Livable Art – a silent moment, Shatadru, Sakshar – posters for social change, Sabla – women's voice, Swatantrata – 50 years of education, Shamiyana – the big top of literacy among others. In her writing career on the arts spanning nearly 26 years, she has documented an entire generation of artistes and artists who have shaped the artistic heritage of the country in the last quarter of the century – captured in two books written by her – A Moment in Time and Pathfinders – artistes of one world. She has been consistently writing and putting into perspective folk and traditional arts and crafts into the mainstream. In her work in the literacy and education sector too she attempted to the bridge the schism between the arts and literacy. As former media consultant to the Ministry of Human Resource Development, she helped identify performing arts troupes in remote areas of the country who have linked the important message of literacy with folk, tribal and traditional performing arts. She documented this journey in her very major publications like Celebrations, Voluntary Action in Literacy, Spirit of Literacy, Women in Literacy and Literacy for Empowerment. These books were published by the National Literacy Mission in conjunction with the UNESCO. A senior columnist and author, she has been on the editorial teams of the Indian Express, the Times of India and the BBC, where she consistently wrote to cover literature and the entire spectrum of the arts including dance, music, theatre, painting and crafts. As editor of Swagat she redesigned and re-launched the magazine to take into account the changed arts scenario in terms of design and coverage. For the first time in the history of journalism – a feat that has not been repeated since – she was able to run an arts page everyday as the arts editor of the Pioneer. The page was a judicious mix of informed articles, which treated the arts as part of hard news spectrum and fearless reviews, covering the arts globally. She launched Pioneerarts.com, the first of its kind website on the performing and visual arts way back in 1999, well before it was even thought possible. She has authored and edited over 20 books including, A Moment in time with legends of Indian arts, Pathfinders – artistes of one world and Garhwal Himalayas – Where the Gods whisper, Indian Jewels – for a queen's ransom. As series editor and initiator of the seven-part series Classical Dances of IndiaSmoking Beauties, a first-ever Indian publication on the heritage of steam engines in the country. She writes for the Hindu these days and her attempt is to create a multi-disciplinary language across the various arts. A regular broadcaster, her programmes on the various radio networks too gave a fillip to the various arts and documented life and times of various artistes and little-known forms. She has been trained in Kathak and vocal music and is a keen painter herself. With one book for each classical dance form written by top performers of the seven forms. She commissioned, edited and curated the visuals of the books. She commissioned and edited Details about our test areas: 1. As I said earlier, we have an assorted set of observations. Some close hits, some near-abouts and some absolute off-the-mark types. Coming from learned astros, I am sure each one would be having his reasons to give a particular reading. But this is how the nativity goes. Now we may derive our own conclusions… I'll start sending my compilation of results now…I have purposely withheld the details and timings of events, just incase anyone is interested in further probe... My sincere thanks and appreciate your invaluable efforts to put the results in such a nice and professional way..i am learning a lot from you and all!! I am happy (but not satisfied:-() with my analysis considering my Astro Journey and knwoledge till today!! i guess my hit ratio is at least 45% in my first attempt itself..Am i correct Neelam Ji? And i wouldn't have made it without the blessings of my (self declared) Gurus Mrs. Wendy, Sri Mrtyunjay Ji, Sri Sunil Nair Ji, Sri C.S. Ravidramani Ji, Sri Vivek Shetty Ji, and Sri RishiRahul Ji (it's one way good that, Sri RishiRahul is not active in any forums) But he is one of the Best and Great *Predictive Astrologer* with whom i have interacted and seen along with Sri Sunil ji so far... Thanks to all... With regards Chandu2Chill P.S: This is not my postmortem comment, but my intution was saying to me when i was looking at the blind chart seriously and it is correct again. It's saying Be careful and see this whole chart has been " Hijacked by Venus " :-) , " neelam gupta " <neelamgupta07 wrote: *Dear All, * * Here's the cat out…. * *An introduction to the lady * *She* wears many hats for she is among the few authorities on the arts who traverses the folk and classical arts, performing and plastic arts, crafts and aesthetics with ease and is known for her crusading spirit for the arts. Guest guest
Dear Neelam ji, Thanks for the beautifully presented details of the native. Hats off to your communication skills (not just this particular mail, but almost all your mails)! Looks like I have both hits and misses, though did not make many predictions. I am sure it is a learning opportunity to go back and check my methods in the areas of failure. One area that everyone got foxed is progeny I guess. It would be interesting to look at her chart and see what made her childless. If you have any clues please do share. Thanks, Krishna neelam gupta <neelamgupta07 wrote: Dear All, Here's the cat out…. These books were published by the National Literacy Mission in conjunction with the UNESCO.A senior columnist and author, she has been on the editorial teams of the Indian Express, the Times of India and the BBC, where she consistently wrote to cover literature and the entire spectrum of the arts including dance, music, theatre, painting and crafts. She launched Pioneerarts. com, the first of its kind website on the performing and visual arts way back in 1999, well before it was even thought possible. Coming from learned astros, I am sure each one would be having his reasons to give a particular reading. But this is how the nativity goes. Now we may derive our own conclusions… I'll start sending my compilation of results now… I have purposely withheld the details and timings of events, just incase anyone is interested in further probe... Guest guest
Dear Neelam ji, Will I be asking too much, if I request you to give your post mortem of the blind chart??? None had been able to give reasons for certain events. Your methodical and logical analyses have proved immensely beneficial in the recent past. Hence, along with your results, astrological reasons by you, would be the ideal lesson for 'eternal beginners' like me.....So please.... blessings Renu , " neelam gupta " <neelamgupta07 wrote: > > Dear Friends, > > I thank and congratulate all the learned members who have participated in > the exercise. Guest guest
Dear All, I thank everyone for appreciating and enjoying the exercise. It was indeed a wonderful experience for me too. As some members want to probe further into the events and happenings in the native's life, I am giving below some landmark events of her life. Dates Event 26 Oct 65 Birth of sister 18 Feb 74 Birth of sister 1980 Finished Graduation Jan 1982 First Job as journalist May 1982 Shifted to a better job in IE 11 Dec 1982 Marriage (love) 26 Jan 1989 Still born child Feb 1989 Living apart from husband April 1989 Got a better job April 1991 Shifted to another job 1995 Resigned from job 1996 Major operation for dermoid cyst 1996-1998 Job in govt organisation 1997 Finished MA Jan 1999 Left husband March 1999 Bought a flat Oct 1999 Formal Divorce 28 Feb 2000 2nd marriage Mar 2001 Separation from 2nd husband Dec 2001 Formal Divorce 2000 Awarded Ph.D 2004 Mother had cancer 1998-99 Worst phase, husband left, no job, no house 1991-1995 Best phase, travel, acclaim Hope it'll be useful.RegardsNeelam
Guest guest
Dear Renu ji and group,We had very close readings for many areas in the chart. I am sure we can request the participants also to elaborate on their techniques and work on further details. However, regarding siblings, marriage and children, we didn't get many successful attempts. So here I am elaborating on these three aspects. This is postmortem analysis only.... given a blind chart I could've failed miserably also. Siblings: 2 younger sisters: There is no promise of an elder sibling 11H has 8L moon and Gulika. It has aspect of Saturn. 11L venus is aspected by 8L moon.Jupiter, the karaka is with Saturn, debilitated and aspected by mars who is marak for 11H of elder siblings. From moon, 11H has rahu and 11L sun is in 8th from its house. In D-9, although Jupiter is in own house, it is also 8L. So promise is weak as also 11L of D-1 is in 12H.In D-3, Jupiter is again in neecha sign with Saturn. There was a loss of pregnancy before her. 2 younger sisters: From lagna, 3L Saturn is in own house, though with a debilitated LL and 4L Jupiter and in 12th from its house (shows some loss of happiness through siblings). Mercury and Ketu are in 3H. Karaka mars aspects 3L from 7H which promises younger siblings, though from inimical rashi. From moon 3H is aspected by karaka mars. Mars is in own house in D-9 and in D-3 it is in 3H. Hence younger siblings are promised. She gets mahadasha of Jupiter who is conjunct 3L Saturn to fulfil that promise. But most of the influences are female or neutral. Hence two sisters with one loss of pregnancy after her. Marriage: Twice married and divorced, now single. Multiple affairs. There are afflictions to 7H/7L and presence of multiple marriage/multiple relations yogas Love marriage as venus the karak in house of affairs aspected by moon and 5L in 7H. From moon also 5L is aspected by 7L. In navamsh also 5L is in lagna aspecting 7H. 7L in 3H also gives marriage to a person living nearby. Afflictions From Lagna: 7H has 5L/12L mars in inimical sign, aspecting lagna and LL also. Bhavesh mercury is in R/K axis and in papkatri. Karak for husband, Jupiter is weak and debilitated and with malefic Saturn in 2H affecting longevity of marriage. Malefic in 9H causes disturbance in marriage. Mars being a malefic and considering Mercury as his enemy (in Gemini) would thus promote experiences where she sees that marriage in all its facets is a cause of bondage for her (mer is her AK also). This may be a reason for her to break away from marriage. From moon: 7H has a retrograde 8L venus, aspected by Rahu. 7L mars is in inimical sign in 9H and as marak 2L/7L in 9H shows instable marriage because of unconventional attitudes. In navamsh, both LL and 7L in 12L aspected by Saturn. From Jupiter: Karak of husband, 7H is in papkatri, aspected by 7L/8L Saturn.Saturn is the mahadashanath who afflicts 4H of domestic happiness and 8H of mangalya. So overall, she never enjoys the marital bliss. Yogas for multiple marriages/affairs: Mars in 7H connected with LL and venus in 7H from moon gives multiple marriages (classic yoga)Venus strong in martian sign in 5H of affairs.Venus moon opposition – romantic disposition, remarriage Venus is vargottam in many vargas.7L mer is also afflicted in another kamtrikon Children: No Children. From lagna: 5L is in 7H (not good for children, classics say probably natural 5L debilitates here) in an inimical sign, 6L venus retrograde in 5H. Venus is marak 2L-7L for 5H. 5H is aspected by 8L moon and Rahu. There's no benefic aspect. Karak Jupiter is debilitated and is with Saturn and aspected by malefic 12L marsFrom Moon: 5L is in 12th house. 5H has 12L mercury and is under R/K axis. 5H is also in papkatri. From Jupiter: 5L is again a retrograde venus in 12H from itself. It is aspected by a debilitated Jupiter. From 9H (bhavat bhavam): under R/K axis In navamsh: 5L is in lagna, 5H is aspected by Jupiter. 5L mars of D-1 is in own house in rashi leo which is 5H of rashi. 5H has benefic aspect of Jupiter. (Shows some promise) In Saptamsha: LL is in Papkatri, lagna has no benefic aspect. 5H is afflicted with R/K axis and 6L venus. Aspect of own lord mars holds a weak promise. Since we get mostly is negative picture regarding the progeny, we should probe further and check the Kshetra Sphuta (KS). KS lies in libra 22.06. This is very inauspicious as it is very close to 8L moon and is with Gulika. It also lies in a male rashi. That rings the bell, that there may be no child for her. With some weak promises, she conceives a child and goes through pregnancy but gets a still born child in Jan 1989.Hope it will be of help. Others can add to it.RegardsNeelam
