Dear Kiran Rama ji,

I guess you're taking about the antardasha. You

have to be specific about that. As far as Mahadashanath is concerned, it is not an active

player in fixing marriage though a conducive MD will be an added point. Antar and pratyantar are

the most important dashas in getting one married.

Marriage is an event which has the highest probability

of happening in a native's life. Everyone gets married (specially in India), and many dashas can

become conducive for marriage at different stages of life. This is one event which

is rarely denied to a native except in extreme heavy afflictions. With so many

changes in our lifestyles and relationships, the planets have also assumed

different responsibilities I guess…

Now depending on the type of marriage, i.e,

love, arranged, registered, religious/ traditional, forced, elopement, scandalous,

etc, different lordships and planets can play their roles. Even 6L may be

giving marriage but there might be problems in that marriage.

If one of antar/pratyantar is of

7L/navamsha dispositor of 7L, then the other dasha lord can be LL, 2L, 5L, 8L, 9L,

10L, and 11L.

Moon becomes a strong contender for

giving marriage as Moon is an alternate lagna. If venus is weak and moon is strong, it can

take over the karakatwa of marriage. Since moon is mind, any PAC relation with

7L can give a strong inclination for marriage in moon's dasha.

Involvement of 9H is required for marriage,

in fact many marriages do take place in the dasha of 9L as it is the lord that

gives religious sanction and performs the religious rites in a marriage. In

fact, for court marriages also 9L is needed.

Marriage may happen in the dasha of 11L….fulfilment

of desires.Then there are subtleties of nakshatras,

say 10L in the nakshatra of 7L will readily perform marriage as its karma in

its dasha. 10L is a very strong kendra and denotes the happiness of 7H.

Rahu is a very strong karak of marriage. So many marriages will be done by Rahu, wherever he may be in the chart.

So we may conclude that while 70 per cent

marriages do happen in the dasha of 7L/nav of 7L/planets related to 7H/7L/planets

in lagna, there are other possibilities also as discussed above.

See this example of a lady 17 Oct 1960/11.53/Delhi.

She got married in ma-ra-ra.Mars is 5L/8L in 7H and rahu is with

moon in 9H. This was a case of love marriage and a registered one, happening in a foreign country.RegardsNeelam
