Guest guest
Dear Sunil-ji, Avoiding any personal interpretations: 1) solar flare http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2002/18jan_solarback.htm Last peak of sunspot count was reached in 2001, next is 11 years later 2012. 2) Alignment http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astro/answers/961028b.html There exists a black @ SgA, centre of the galaxy http://astrobiology.nasa.gov/ask-an-astrobiologist/question/?id=3093 NASA confirmed that no major disaster is going to occur but pole reversals possible. Again, the above is devoid of any personal interpretations and from 2006 I have stopped writing on groups my personal views on 2012. If anyone is interested in my research/findings on this subject, please feel free to contact me personally, off public lists. Guest guest
Dear Kishore ji, Some say that there is an allignment of Earth and some other planets with the center of galexy (from a scientific view point). As per the Mayan system of astrology, 2012 is the end date of a cycle for their long count. (The long count system is something similar to our concpet of Yuga system. 2012, the end of long count cycle is like an end date Kaliyuga for Indians). Some major changes in world order etc are predicted, by modern astrologer, even though not much by ancient mayans. Guest guest
Dear Kishore ji, Actually the solar system was NOT part of the Milky way galaxy, but part of the Andromeda galexy, but now becoming part of the Milky way galaxy, due to the collision, and merging into one of both these galaxies (a process that may take millions of years). This was a recent info to the whole world. Link: http://www.viewzone.com/milkyway.html If you want to read another note on the same, here it is: http://www.universetoday.com/2007/05/10/when-our-galaxy-smashes-into-andromeda-what-happens-to-the-sun/ During 2012, the precise alignment of the solstice point (the precise center-point of the body of the sun as viewed from earth) with the Galactic equator of Milky way galaxy is supposed to happen (even though this view is not exactly supported by scientists, Mayan favorites popularizes it and gives it much propaganda). That means the center of milky way galaxy, sun and earth would be in same line. [Think that the galactic center is in Sagittarius in Moola Star and earth is at the middle of a square south indian natal chart drawn] Further the other major planets would be in Taurus (i.e. in the opposite side of earth). [Check the planetary position for 21st Dec 2012 using some astrology software for details]. This may cause a ripping effect for earth, since earth would be between the great gravitational pull caused by many planets at one end AND sun and galactic center at the other end some believe. (Scientific view regarding the same is not known to me in detail). This is the whole 'scientific' side regarding 2012 story. There could be several other scientific and unscientific stories and events that gets associated with 2012. Guest guest
Dear Sreenadhji, Since you are not going to continue this thread, I have no fear from your arguments, and would put my orthodox ones in place. I do not believe in Big Bang theory and such type of abracadabra by these space people. I am devout person and believe that SheshNaga will take care of the Earth and Lord Krishna will take care of me, when 2012 comes ( If I remain good and become better spiritually ). Anyway pralaya is too afar from us , and at the most the major population of the Earth, may be devastated by the shift in the Axis , but no complete anhilitations seem to be there in sight yet. In between mass deaths we are already seing due to Epidemics man amde and natural, in the form of AIDs , tsunami, earthquakes, terrorist attacks, which also point out to the evil rising in this world and cleansing taking place, and the need for people becoming more religious, realising the futility of such crimes . Alreday we have seen in recent past, people turning more religious, seprentine ques at all major temples in India, inspite of fear of attacks by the terrorist forces. My own son goes everyday to study at the Siddhivinayak temple Library for his CA, and college studies, inspite of me telling him " Bhai udhar kuch bhi ho sakta hai, it is one of the targets for these killers " . He counter argues " kahin bhi kuch bhi ho sakta hai, kya bharosa " . He is right so I allow him to attend the comfort of this airconditioned library, as I have no other choice , because I cannot guarantee safety anywhere. best wishes, Bhaskar. , sreenadh <sreesog wrote: > > Dear Kishore ji, > Actually the solar system was NOT part of the Milky way galaxy, but part of the Andromeda galexy, but now becoming part of the Milky way galaxy, due to the collision, and merging into one of both these galaxies (a process that may take millions of years). Guest guest
We are only discussing the scientific and astronomic and astrological aspects of 2012. I am too sure there is nothing diabolical about it. Even the Mayans also talk of a calender change and not the end of the world. In any case, remember if it really signifies end of the world, we can not avert it by not discussing it and most importantly, we are into it with every one else.
