Dear All, I thought that I will provide some more links on Ud to help those who are not familier with it. :) 1) A whole website for Oud: http://www.agarwood.in/ 2) A Blog on Oud: http://perfumemaking.blogspot.com/2007/09/oudh.html 3) Correlating Buddha and Agar! : http://www.kacha-stones.com/agarwood_oil.htm 4) http://www.scents-of-earth.com/alag.html 5) http://www.scentedmountain.com/ 6) Agar wood and the Garden of Eden! : http://www.fragrantica.com/news/The-fragrant-wood-from-the-Garden-of-Eden-3.html Agar wood has a fragnance that provides peace of mind; it is part of many Ayurvedic medicines, that tries to provide peace of mind to mental patients. Stories and info that associate Agar Scent with Kuran, Md. Nabi, Buddha, Garden of Eden and so on are available. And the point to note is (I remember Chakraborty ji from Assam here) that the whole credit goes to Assam, the state that was the major source of this wood of fragnace from ancient past till today. Note: Does this Oud story has anything to do with astrology? It may not, but the defenitly the the history of astrology - and the knowledge transfer (Astrology, Ayurveda, Cosmetics and so on) from India to the western world through the Arabs and Arab countries - defenitly does have a connection!
