Rahu enters Aries on 28th August 2003 at 8-00 a.m. and Ketu also enters Libra at the same time and date. Transit effects are delineated here by considering both the conventional aspect and the Moorthy Nirnaya special aspect.Among all the planets, the transits of Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu exert a greater impact on us, because of their long stay in each rasi. Rahu is a karmic planet, affecting us on a mundane level (depending on actions of past births); Ketu is also a karmic planet, but it affects us on a spiritual level (depending on the native’s spiritual strength during the past births). Rahu gives results similar to that of Saturn, and Ketu to that of Mars, for predictive purposes. Now I intend giving the transit results of Rahu in Aries and that of Ketu in Libra for all the twelve rasis, as given in an ancient Tamil classic ‘Sundarananda Jothidam’. The peculiarity of this text is that results are given separately for both Waxing and Waning Moon periods (Sukla and Krishna Pakshasâ€"being 24 periods in each year). Further, though the results are given according to general conventions, the sage indicates good results in certain instances, where the planet has to give malefic results. For exampleâ€"Rahu has to give bad results, when it transits the 5th from the birth Moon, but here the sage predicts good results; probably, such results are arrived at very distinctively, considering the inter-relationship between rasis, planets etc., Rahu enters Aries on 28th August 2003 at 8-00 a.m. and Ketu also enters Libra at the same time and date. (Lahiri) Transit effects are considered in two waysâ€"one is the Conventional aspect and the other is Moorthy Nirnaya (Special Aspect). We will consider both one by one, here.I CONVENTIONAL ASPECT

Aries: (RAHU in the 1st)During Waxing Moon period: A lot of difficulties are indicated in the first half of the period. There will be losses, danger from food poisoning and affliction by illness (difficult to be diagnosed).
