If it is not dicussed in past can we discuss Karmik Control planets. In a book written by Shri Manik Chand Jain, depositors of Rahu- Ketu are called Karmic control planets. If they are together or make connections, the raja yogas and other yogas in the chart gets highly activated during dasa of those Karmic control planets. And if they together in dushthana houses then they are responsible for both rise and fall of the person. He has given many illustrations to this effect in his book. Esteemed astrologers of the group can enlighten more on this with supporting data of high achievers of 80s and above because in his book mostly examples are of early 30s and upto sixties.
