Dear Bhaskar ji,

The personal references in Vinay ji's mails are becoming less and

less day by day. (We -as moderators - know it from the amount of

approved/edited/rejected messages of Vinay ji every day). In most of the mails

he is avoiding personal remarks recently.

* Whether good of bad he has contributed to the astrological

community by providing an astrological software for free for the astrological

community to experiment with, which at least some are able to install and

use. Let us appreciate and congratulate him for the same.

* Even though he got many rigid opinions, we can accept him as an

individual having his own unique, same time orthodox and revolutionary and out

of the mass opinion - I believe. We can accept him as long as he does not try

to force his opinion to the group. He IS knowledgeable, as a traditional

astrologer, with traditional learning.

* Even though he uses a fiery-self centric language with too much

personal remarks, this is curing now, and the personal remarks in his mails are

becoming less and less. This is a good sign indicating that - he is learning

fast 'how to behave in a group'. It is a very positive sign and let us

appreciate this change as well.

* If he is able to completely avoid personal remarks, and starts

sharing knowledge with out forcing it and by avoiding references to his site

and software in every alternate mail he posts, then he would be an asset to

this group with his vast knowledge and undemanding about the traditional

astrological techniques. [He tell us that the secrets and knowledge he

has is mostly related to astronomical and astrological calculations and not

related to predictive astrology, and also that what ever little predictive

astrology he know is related to Medini system. This may not impress us

much. But what ever is there, that much good. Let us appreciate him for what he

know. Let us try to gain what ever little we can from his little understanding

about predictive astrology and astronomical calculations.]

* At times some mails with personal references slip through due to lapses

from the part of moderators. So please don't respond to such mails, but

understanding them as the 'mistake of moderators'. When some discussions

heat up, and when every mail contains some personal remark, it is very

difficult even for the moderators to decide how to edit out unwanted content

from the mails. The workload also would be too much, and they may not be an

expert in identifying and doing content editing as well. Further they may not

have that much time to spare. Please understand this condition of moderators,

who tries to avoid extreme steps as far as possible in every case. As you

know we love astrology and knowledge, and would have both individuals present

and share knowledge even when opinions of two individuals are at diametrically

opposite to each other.

* May be, "as much revolutionary and controversial an

individual is, that much he may have new information to contribute".

This is true not only for You, Chandra Hari, Sunil Nair, Me, Neelam, Sunil

Bhattacharjya, Chakraborti ji or now even Vinay ji - I think. (But I don't argue that it would be true always). So let us what

and see to know - what he has in store, and also let us moderate him in his

lapses especially in his inability to avoid/not-to-use/stay-away-from the use

of personal references. It all may turn out to be rewarding to him and us.

Dear Sreenadhji,

 

I agree to all the contents of your well meant mail.

 

I am open to any knowledge from anyone. And certainly Vinayji has got

loads of it. A person in the field of activity which he is into, will

have to have good knowledge without doubt. Which is what I have been

looking from his side, and know there would be more to come with

appreciations and encouragement , and minus the usual wardrobe.

 

I promise not to be personally critic towards him, which was never my

agenda, and I always respect those who are following Bharamacharya and

into Bhraminical activities. It takes time sometimes to understand one

another. Till that time the exchanges may not be smooth, but after that

they turn towards a cemented road, I hope so, in this case, the cemented

path has begun. Please rest assured I would no way like to hurt this

good man and would not take advantage of the space given to me by your

goodself over here.
