Guest guest
You will be surprised that Satabhisha Nakshatra (Lambda-asurii), the central Nakshatra of the Kumbha Rashi, is regarded as the house of Varuna or in other words Varuna is the Lord of Satabhisa. All these designations came through the mystic experiences of the ancient sages. Mitra and Varuna are the asura of the Devas. (RV 7.65) and they are also the upholder of order (rta) TRV 1.23.5). Vasistha looked after the North India and Agastya took charge of the South India to balance the establishment of Dharma. This is my humble attempt to show the significance of Mitra-Varuna in the cryptic vedic verse where Kumbha (Rashi) also appears. Sunil K.
