Shubha graha - vakri - atti shubh. Paap Graha Vakri - bhayankar --- is what i have heard.Jupiter Vakri will go back to its sign of debilitation Makara - retrograde then turn around to move forward again to Kumbha.

Many theories to be tested -

1. Debilitated Graha Vakri give phala of exalated graha.

2. As Bhaskarji has asked if it is possible to get work started in this Kaal & complete it inspite of the planet moving forward.

3. Are shubh planets likely to become more shubh if retrograde .....

It is said that for those whose planets are Vakri in natal chart - real work happens only when the transit planets also turns Vakri.

In Mundane Saturn when direct is supposed to cause mandi - slowdown in business, fall in prices of all things except those connected with Saturn ( like oil, steel etc ).

Budh - when vakri leads to break down in communications and vakri budhi - ulta pulta.

Thanks & Regards

Dear Learned astrologers.

Jupiter is now due to retrograde soon.

I was looking for your valued advices on the following -

1) It is said that when a planet turns retrograde one must not begin a new work ?

Is this true ?

2) It is also said that a person if he begins a new work during retrogression of a planet and the work remains unfinished by the time this planet becomes direct, then the work will only be taken up when the planet turns retrograde next time. Is this true ?

3) If above is not true then what are the rules actually for work to be undertaken when a planet is direct or retrograde ?

4) What work should be undertaken/not undertaken when the planets are retrograde/Direct? Saturn, Mercury and Jupiter specifically ?

regards/Bhaskar.

Dear All,

My thoughts from my experience and distilled from the experience of my teachers:

Deb Graha Retrograde behaves like Exalted

I have NOT found this to be true. I even have a very personal experience with

this. The worst happening in my life happened during Retrograde Jupiter, Deb in

the 7th house in my wife's chart during the antardasha of Jupiter.

Wisdom from my teachers: Experience shows this NOT to be true. But then why did

the Rishis write this: The answer is to bring it to the jyotishi's attention in

an exaggerated way. The classics were never meant to be practised without the

mentorship of a Guru. So such exaggerations exist throughout the Classics.

However the Rishis are trying to tell us some thing. They are telling us that in

" some way " the " retrogression " gives the debilitated Grahas strength. My

teachers through years of experience have found that especially if other

neechabanga also exists, such Grahas will create situations which will produce

immense pain initially during their periods, but in the long run will produce

extradinory results although in unexpected ways. One of my teachers also told me

that people involved with these grahas (ex: husband, child for female charts

with Jupiter retro and deb) will try 300% to attain exalted status under trying

conditions, but will fall

slightly short (in the short term). However that experience will propel them to

do extradinory things in the long run.

Much Regards,

-Manoj

Respected Manoj Chandran,

My experience fully agree with you, there is always exaggerations in the

statements. The debilitated retrograde planet gains some strength, but not

exalted, The results depends on whether the planet is naturally benefice or

malefic. Initially there are always some problems and later there is gain in the

neech bhanga Raja yoga such as Saturn and Sun in Aries, Saturn has neech bhanga

raja yoga. But gives uplift movement as the dasha advances with sutraggle.

Regards
