Guest guest
Mars dosha technically happens when mars is placed in 1/2/4/7/8/12 houses from lagna. Some recommend it to be seen from moon and venus too. However, the presence and strength of this dosha should be carefully evaluated as there are certain conditions, like mars in own house, mars as lagna lord, etc, which mitigate or reduce the dosha. And many other conditions which make qualitative difference in its results. Hope this helps.2009/6/12 »-(¯`v´¯)-»Kumar S Dev <rajkumar_v3 they say that mars dosh happens only when mars is posited in 7th or 8th from lagna and may not have any significance if in any other house. is this right? plz throw light on this. Guest guest
Hello all, Before anything I would like to say, I am not an astrologer but interested in astrology (since I had ungergone and undergoing turmoil and been to different professional astrologers, and well all of them have predicted differently) so thought of learning the science myself slowly (though I would love to take up astrology classes with a school or guru, right now I am not in a condition to do so). Regarding mangal dosha, I have read several articles where some say what Neelam Ji has told below. And some say those rules doesnt apply. So there is no definite rule. I have a doubt since long regarding this Mars dosha and Navamsa. Since some believe Navamsa signifies the second half of life, whatever position be Mars placed in in natal chart, if it's not in any of those positions in Navamsa chart, does that mean the native can lead a somewhat happy life from the second half of life? I know its a stupid q, since not only Mars but many other combinations contribute to a happy marriage (or 70% happy, which I call perfectly happy). But I am just wondering about the above question. I would be glad if somebody can respond. Guest guest
Dear Serenity, A patient who is chronically sick and doing rounds of hospitals is as good as doctor and even better sometimes and similarly a person perpetually fighting his court case and undergoing litigation can beat the best of lawyers! But I only hope that such learners, do not start behaving like those who've slogged for years to study and get respectable degrees! It little wonder then, a person in turmoil, doing rounds of astro-fora and astrologers, is sure to become astrologer himself/herself. :-) But do keep your quest on and learn to detach yourself from your own chart, if you want to approach this subject with any sincerity. Repeat of any position or yoga in navamsha re-confirms or strengthens the results of it. But navamsha cannot over-rule natal chart, even in the second half of life. Navamsha is used to moderate the and judge the strength of planets for giving results. Regarding the strength of mangal dosha, you may go through some of the earlier messages in this thread. Hope this helps.RegardsNeelam2009/6/13 serenity forever <serenity_forever4 Hello all, Before anything I would like to say, I am not an astrologer but interested in astrology (since I had ungergone and undergoing turmoil and been to different professional astrologers, and well all of them have predicted differently) so thought of learning the science myself slowly (though I would love to take up astrology classes with a school or guru, right now I am not in a condition to do so). Guest guest
Hi Neelam Ji, Thanks a lot for the reply. And nope, I never think of outsmarting the really good astrologers who have put in a lot of effort. I understand how many years and years of effort astrology is. So I dont even think of any such. And my intent is not become an astrologer, but to study my chart, cuz I am seeking answers for various q's in my life. Though you could ask me when you found so many astrologers not giving correct predictions, how come yourself knowing nothing about astrology will be able to give? I agree, but the interest has developed. Thanks for confirming that Natal is the one and Navamsa only shows the strenghts or weakenesses. I had this confusion in mind (since one article I read said, Navamsa rules the second half of life, and I cant point to that article, I just read randomly, when I get some time at work).
