Guest guest
Dear friends, In the book How to Judge Horoscope (Vol.II) illustrious astrologer late Dr BV Raman advises to see total horoscope for marital blemishes ( Manglya Dosha) (Mangalam or Mangalyam meaning marriage or overall wellbeing in most South Indian Languages) that might influence the whole marital aspects of a pair of horoscope. He ascribes this blemsishes to occupation, placements and significations of all the nine planets approximately expressible in terms of percentage. Dr. Raman, Ms Gayatri Devi Vasudev as well as Mrs Mridula Trivedi through their numerous examples had shown that holistic analysis of horoscopes to findout overall well being or 'Mangalya' is more important than simply sticking to learner's concepts like 'Mars Dosha' or '36 points/ kuta/ guna matching' as enunciated in oversimplified astrological texts like 'Jataka Chandrika' in which only highly simplified concepts or astrology are introduced- as the book itself was meant to be a primer for newbies in Jyotish. It is unfortunate that almost all astrological softwares use the concepts of Mars Dosha nd 36 guna/ points match making concepts of 'Jataka Chandrika'. Hope some software developers cum astrologers to come forward developing the correct softwares for Mangalya Dosha as well as marriage match making based on the more broad based Dasa Koota System of marriage match making as prevalent in Eastern India/ Varanasi and parts of UP and Rajasthan/Gujarat. With regards and best wishes, Mrutyunjay Tripathy
