Just to add few words on women. A nice and useful story in day to day life.

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a

neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved

by Arthur's youth and ideals. So the monarch offered Arthur his freedom,

as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would

have a year to figure out the answer and, If after a year, he still

had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question was: What do women really want?

Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man and to

young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better

than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by the

year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: The princess,

the priests, the wise men, and even the court jester. He spoke with

everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people

advised him to consult the old witch for only she would have the

answer. But the price would be high as the witch was famous through

out the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged.

The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk

to the witch. She agreed to answer the question but he would have to

agree to her price first.

The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the

Knights of the Round Table, and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur

was horrified. She was hunch-backed, hideous, had only one tooth,

smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc.

He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He

refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible

burden, but Lancelot having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He

said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life. And

the reservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed

and the witch answered Arthur's question thus: 'What a woman really

wants?'

She said, 'Is to be in charge of her own life.'

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a

great truth. And that Arthur's life would be spared.

And so it was.

The neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom.

And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a

horrific experience, entered the bedroom.

But what a sight awaited him.

The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed.

The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened.

The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she

appeared as a witch, she would henceforth be her horrible and deformed

self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half.

'Which would you prefer?' she asked him. 'Beautiful during the day .... or at

night?'

Lancelot pondered the predicament.

During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his

friends but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch!

Or,

Would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day but by night a beautiful

woman for him to enjoy wondrous, intimate moments with?

....

...

....

...

....

(If you are a man reading this...) What would YOUR choice be?

(If you are a woman reading this) What would YOUR MAN'S choice be?

What Lancelot chose, is given below:

BUT... make YOUR choice before you scroll down below... OKAY?

....?

....? ?

....? ? ?

....? ? ? ?

....? ? ? ? ?

....? ? ? ? ? ?

Noble Lancelot knowing the answer the witch gave Arthur to his question said

that

he would allow HER to make the choice herself.

Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time

because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now... what is the moral to this story?

....

....

The moral is...

1) There is a witch in every woman no matter how beautiful she is!

2) If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly.

So, always remember:

IT'S EITHER 'HER WAY' OR

IT'S 'NO WAY' !!!

This is one of the best stories I ever read, a refreshing one, a lesson

in chivalry, courage, smartness, wisness and faithfullness.

Frankly, I had chosen the day time for the witch to be with me as

beautiful, because I would be awake fully in the day time and would have

her with me as company in all affairs. But the choice of King Arthur was

a real wise one by allowing the witch to choose.

The other one was a reality too.

" 'Is to be in charge of her own life

This is what one realises when he grows more wiser in his marriage, that

any husband who allows the woman to have her way at most of the times

without too much of interfering in her day to day affairs, is better off

and more comfortable than the husband who does not do so.

best wishes,

and thanks for the beautiful story.

Cute fairy tale.

What " being in charge of one's own life " would mean will take lots of discussion starting from political, human rights and eventually ending in Spiritual.

Since this is an astro forum - lots of wasted space......... so to cut to the chase.....i will quote Osho....this is not sexist, nor political etc......" people talk of rights & freedom. Women want freedom, true but there should also be mens liberation movement. But nobody wants to be free. Because with freedom comes great responsibility .... towards exixtence. ........ Nobody wants to be responsible ...... nobody wants to be free.--- On Mon, 22/6/09, viditjain <viditjain wrote:

Just to add few words on women. A nice and useful story in day to day life.Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So the monarch offered Arthur his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, If after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death. The question was: What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by the year's end. He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: The princess, the priests, the wise men, and even the court

jester. He spoke with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer. Many people advised him to consult the old witch for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high as the witch was famous through out the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question but he would have to agree to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the Knights of the Round Table, and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunch-backed, hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible

burden, but Lancelot having learnt of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compared to Arthur's life. And the reservation of the Round Table. Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus: 'What a woman really wants?' She said, 'Is to be in charge of her own life.' Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth. And that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was. The neighboring monarch granted Arthur his freedom. And Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding. The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the

bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened. The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth be her horrible and deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half. 'Which would you prefer?' she asked him. 'Beautiful during the day .... or at night?' Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day he could have a beautiful woman to show off to his friends but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch! Or, Would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day but by night a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous, intimate moments with? ... ... ... ... .... (If you are a man reading this...) What would YOUR choice be? (If you are a woman reading this) What would YOUR

MAN'S choice be? What Lancelot chose, is given below: BUT... make YOUR choice before you scroll down below... OKAY? ...? ...? ? ...? ? ? ...? ? ? ? ...? ? ? ? ? ...? ? ? ? ? ? Noble Lancelot knowing the answer the witch gave Arthur to his question said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life. Now... what is the moral to this story? ... ... The moral is... 1) There is a witch in every woman no matter how beautiful she is! 2) If you don't let a woman have her own way, things are going to get ugly. So, always remember: IT'S EITHER 'HER WAY' OR

IT'S 'NO WAY' !!!regardsancient_indian_ astrology, "Bhaskar" <bhaskar_jyotish@ ...> wrote:>> > Dear all,> > Women - whether one may understand them or not, whatever adjectives one> may attribute to them, but let me be honest, I do enjoy women around me,> and without a woman factor around me, would feel empty in Life, be> whomeever she may be, wife, sister, daughter, Mother,or just anybody.> > Man would always feel incomplete without women ( I am talking about> normal men, and not abnormals, Yogis, saints etc).> > Without her we would not be.> > She is both a boon, she is a bane too.> > She is the

Dear Vidit Jain,

Nice write up !

Every man and woman wishes that things should move and occur as per their

wishes.

Thinking correctly 'wishing to have our own way' is quite different from 'being

in charge of one's own life'.

To be in charge of one's own life requires quite a

good deal of capability for self assesment, self control and self

improvement,

ability to perfectly manage and utilise

the tangible and intangible resouces available

along with apprropriate actions

to change dreams/ wishes into enjoyable reality.

--------------------------

Having one's own way-

may be guided by faith/conviction/ principled actions

or /and by

discerning conscience

or/and

a clearcut intelligence

supported by

courage, firmness and willpower or

otherwise.

Another important aspect to it is

the 'sense of security' 'one feels in'

-----

worldly pleasures of the senses/materials and money or

pleasure of emotions/ satisfactory relationship/ love

pleasure of the mind,

pleasure of the intellect,

pleasure of the wisdom etc.

-------

Do most of the woman ( applicable for the man as well)

want to be in perfect control over ( or in charge of) their own life

or

just all things should happen as per their wishes ?

God has given this option to all...

whether to 'just wish'

or to workhard within and out 'to be incharge' .

Astrolgically the trines rule the - firmness/will power(strong lagna),

conscience(strong 5th house/ jupiter) and the faith/ conviction(strong 9th lord/

jupiter)

to be in charge, if well supported by

appropriate actions and talents (navamsa and trines related to quadrants).

Sense of security is to be seen from the cumulative influences of the

Bhoga/ Tyaga/ Moha/ Jnana Karaka karaka planets strongly influencing the

horoscope.

With regards,
