Dear friends,

As per other traditional literatures movement of Yogini is only as per the

luni-solar distance i.e. tithi.

But in Dr. BV Raman's translation of Prasna Marga (Volume-I) we find

(i) 2nd and 10th tithi- direction of Yogini- in North -West instead of North.

(I think it is a typographical errors )

(ii) with an Note it is said : Amavasya tithi Yogini stays in the same direction

as that of Pournima ( full moon)- which is not correct. Actually Yogini stays in

same direction on 8th lunar tithi and Amavasya ( New Moon Day).

(iii) In Raman's translation of Prasna Marga, there is mention of movement of

Yogini amd Mrityu as on the basis of weekdays.

In actuality they should be movement of Kala and Mrityu.

Kala or Yamardha changes every 1 hour 30 minutes. Also known popularly as

'Choughadia' in North India.

Direction and movement of Yogini is not dependent upon the time of sun-rise.

It is dependent on the time of commencement of tithi only.

Waiting for experience, opinion and guidance of learned members please.

If some practical examples can be given to explain the usage of Kala and Mrityu

in Natal and Prasna Chart, a good lot of learners like me would be benefitted in

this branch of the Jyotish.

Regards,
