Dear Shri. S.R. Balasubramaniam/Shri T. Sarawanan: I am privileged to have mails from you and I thank you.  An Astrologer should take many charts and the events before arriving at the 'strength' of a Planet when it moves in various houses. Of course, authors who had written on the subject makes one feel easy to understand the strength of the moving Planet (Gochara) Answering the given example: Saturn moving in Rishabha, Thula, Makara and Kumbha Rashis: I give below the transit effect 'Gradation', while Saturn is moving in a particular Rasi, and then also give you how to assess the 'intensity of effects' related to its Natal position as also the Desha/ Bukti/ Anthara assessment. Before these, some of important 'base' has to be 'accounted'. According to 'Sathyacharya', the following are the 'gradation' of intensity in each house: 1. Saturn will cause intensive deterioration/ satisfaction/improvement, in the results of events related to the house occupied by him in Natal Chart in the Degrees he transits when in 'Gochara' transit in each house; 2. The periods in order to ‘experience’ related ‘intensity’, good, bad or ‘ugly’ under ‘general’ terms for Desa – then, Bukti, then Anthara, then Sukshama, then Param Sukshama – under Vimshothri desa System; 3. A & B above is directly related to the ‘basic’ relation in ‘occupation’, ‘drushti’, and to the position of MOON in the birth chart (not to Lagna when finding ‘results’ under Gochara)  1. Aries : Owner Mars; Saturn - Neecha; while transiting (WT) in 10º to 11º; enemy to owner. 2. Taurus: Owner Venus: Saturn - a benefic; WT 9º to 10º; Friend to owner. 3. Gemini: Owner Mercury: Saturn – a benefic; WT 8º to 9º; Friend to owner; 4. Cancer: Owner Moon; Saturn – Neutral; WT 7º to 8º; Enemy to owner (that is the reason Saturn causes ‘Sade Sati’ when crossing Natal Moon position, for 120 º) 5. Leo: owner Sun; Saturn – Neutral; WT 6º to 7º; Enemy to owner; 6. Virgo: Owner Mercury; Saturn – Neutral; WT 5º to 6º; Friend to Mercury; 7. Libra : Owner Venus; Saturn – Benefic; WT 4º to 5º; Extreme friend; 8. Scorpio: Owner Mars; Saturn – Neutral; WT 1º to 6º; Enemy to owner; 9. Sagittarius: Owner Jupiter; Saturn – Malefic; WT 2º to 3º ; Neutral; 10. Capricorn : Owner Saturn; Saturn – Benefic; WT 1º to 2º ; = 11. Aquarius : Owner Saturn; Saturn – Benefic; WT 1º to 12º; = 12. Pisces: Owner Jupiter; Saturn – Malefic; WT 11º to 12º; Neutral  This will help to study the intensity while transiting (WT) in each house and also the relation with the owner of the house as well as ‘drusti’ Saturn receives or directs in the Birth chart, to relate the Desa Bukti analysis.  I will also give you the gradation in each of 'Sade sati' periods of 7.1/2 years, while transiting in each house the general term of effects to be expanded/contracted with above 'gradation' theory:  The following will represent 2.1/2 years (Portion of total period of 7.1/2 years): Mesha ............................................Middle Part..................Very Bad Rishaba...........................................First.........................\ ..... Very Bad Mithuna.......................................... First............................ Very Bad Kataka........................................... Middle..........................Very Bad Simha............................................. First.............................. Very Bad Kanya.............................................First.........................\ ...... Very Bad Thula..............................................Last.........................\ ....... Very Bad Vruchika.........................................Last...........................\ .... Very Bad Dhanus...........................................First..........................\ ....... Very Bad Makara..........................................First...........................\ .......Very Bad Kumbha.........................................Last.............................\ .....Very Bad Meena........................................... Last.................................Very bad  Please Note the word 'very bad' indicate the 'taper down' of Very Good/ Good'. Apart from above we have to consider the movement of Saturn related to terms:Sade Sathe, Ardhashtama, Kantak and Ashtama  and its effects, before correctly pronouncing the findings for the 'specific' period to an individual by an Astrologer.  Blessings.  A.V.Pathi,   'Oxton House', 6, Hawthorn Road,Cherry Willingham, Lincoln LN3 4JT, United Kingdom .  0044+01522+595996,
