Henry Allington, aged 113 yrs died in his sleep at 03:10am on 18 July, 2009 at

his care home in Ovingdean near Brighton,[46][4] aged 113 years and 42 days.

 

Allingham was born in 1896 in Clapton, County of London. When he was 14 months

old, his father died of tuberculosis. Brought up by his mother and grandparents,
