Guest guest Posted October 5, 2009 Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 Dear All, In Bhrama Vaivatra Puran, (Pg 85 Gita press Gorakhpur) in Prakriti Khanda, Bhagwan Narayan says to Narada that on five Devi is called Prakriti in which this Universe is dependent. These five Devi are : 1)Durga (who is mother of Ganesh) 2)Laxmi 3)Saraswati 4)Savitri 5)Radha. I think these are referred as Five Tattwas and just a though came to my mind to relate these with five planets as following: 1)Durga : Planet is Mars. 2)Laxmi : Planet is Venus. 3)Saraswati : Planet is Mercury. 4)Savitri : Planet is Jupiter. 5)Radha. : Planet is Saturn. Though Rahu\ketu and sun\moon are excluded in basic scheme of tattwas still we can classify by putting Rahu and ketu with Durga, Sun with Saraswati & Moon with Savitri. This is just my thought and shared with all, if you find appropriate than discuss it else leave it. Normally strong saturn influence natives lack faith in God and specially Murti puja as they are filled with Ahamkara (mixing up 'I' & karma theory),it is only Radha who will save from the wrong infliction of vayu tattwa (Ahamkara) and put them back to the path of God (oneness)through Bhakti and devotion. If one goes to the terrace hall of the temple there are steps to the top from where the Dhwaja is hoisted and on top is placed the Sudarshan Chakra. This Sudarshan Chakra is Saturn who has been placed at the top , to maintain justice in this world and punish the wrong doers. However some people consider Mother Radha to be an avatara of Lord Shiva. There is a Tantric story according to which, if I remember correctly, Lord Shiva was appreciating the beauty of Mother Shakti and then Lord Shiva and Mother Shakti decided to reverse their roles, for once. Accordingly Lord Shiva took birth as Mother Radha and Mother Shakti took birth as Lord Krishna. To get relief from the pressures of the Saturn some people do pray to Lord Shiva.Regards,Sunil K. Corruption of a holy text is very bad indeed. Some scholars are of the opinion that Bala Kanda and the Uttara Kanda were added to the Ramayana later on but I have not heard of any charge of corruption in the Valmiki Ramayana. May be after the Adhyatma Ramayana, which treats Lord Rama as the God, was out some rishi might have wanted to improve the Ramayana by adding these two Kandas to the existing five Kandas. But the last word has not been said about that. Who knows. Even Valmiki himself could have added the Bala Kanda and the Uttara Kanda afterwards and there he treated Lord Rama as God. Of course additions in Ramayana has been there in some editions and these make the Ramayana even more interesting. The Kirtibashi Ramayana in Bengali is very nice to read.Regards,Sunil K. Guest guest Posted October 5, 2009 Report Share Posted October 5, 2009 Sir, It is mentioned I believe in the Moghal manuscripts somewhere that when Tulsidasji was resting at night, and a King had gone to his Hut with not so good intentions, he noticed two sparkling men dressed in shining clothes and holding bow and arrows in their hands guarding the hut. (They were Rama and Laxmana). Yet if some people may not accept its authenticty then its their loss and not ours. My concluion is that Yama is placed at the winter soltice, and Aswini kumar is placed at the sun in Aswini nakshaytra and represeants the sun's position at the vernal equinox.Saturn is the adhimas and may be placed either at the solstices as of vedanga jyotish or at the spring equinox at the middle of the soltices. Basically mine classification is based in tattwa concept and the kind of feminine energy associated with these five Devis as mentioned in Puran, which is the basic entity on which Universe is dependent. If you will see Sri Radha's life was full of sorrow in the view of Sansara to the extent that she was not even married to Krsna. She was the complete epitome of saturn, she can feel the slightest pain of any and has the capacity to uplift from that pain. See how vayu tattwa (sani) was dominant in his life giving her great internal strength. Reciting Gayatri mantra, Sri Savitri gives wisdom and knowledge, just see the relationship of Savitri and jupiter. Akash tattwa in the body will increase and become prominent. You can seek help from Sri Durga for the protection of Dharma, main philosopy of mars is to protect from Adharma. Agni tattwa will get prominent, Agni is Dharma. Sri Laxmi and venus needs no explaination. Sri Saraswati with mercury also needs no explanation. ----------------- We can say Shiva has many form, we can consider as jupiter in context like Param Guru, and Sun as Shiva in another context for example their is a sloke in jaimini where sun+ketu is considered as Shiva worshiper [as per my memory]. Even saturn and mars are also taken as the Rudra form form Shiva. I think Bhatuk Bairav form is Shiva is considered to uplift from the sorrow of saturn.
