Guest guest
Dear Mr. Rao, First off, I would like to say a big thank you for the newly released johoralite. I enjoy using it and love all the new features. In the jhoralite software, antardasa for Shoola Dasa always start from the same rasi as the mahadasa. However, in your book you indicated that antardasa start from stronger of the rasi containing the lord of mahadasa or the rasi containing the lord of the 7th house from the mahadasa rasi. I'm asking because I had done the antardasas manually and was confused to find out the antardasas for shoola dasa generated by the software were different from the ones I calculated. Please advise. Thank you. Jan
Guest guest
Dear Jan, What JHora gives is based on Sanjay ji's latest and explicit instruction to me. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath Dear Narasimha, Even I wanted to tell you the same thing. The Shoola- Antardasa starts from the stronger of the mahadasa rasi and the 7th therefrom. However in JHora, it starts from the Mahadasa Rasi itself. I asked this question to Gurudev, who said it should be stronger of the 1st/ 7th from the Maha Dasa Sign. I am sending this mail to Gurudev for his comments. Guest guest
Dear Sarajit, What you are asking is different. What Jan mentioned was antardasas starting the stronger of dasa sign and the 7th from it (like in Narayana dasa). What you are saying is totally different. It is a slight variant of what I said. Sanjay ji told me that Narayana dasa scheme may not really apply to Shoola dasa, as Shoola dasa was based on the fixed rhythm of Shiva. So he told me to start it from dasa sign itself instead of the lord. What you are saying is a slight variant and makes more sense as we do the same thing for dasas also. In order to avoid further controversy, I am simply giving three options. If you click " Options " on Shoola dasa display, you will have an additional option. You can let the antgardasas start from (1) dasa sign itself, (2) from the stronger of dasa sign and 7th, or, (3) from the lord of the stronger of dasa sign and 7th. The default in commercial as well as lite version will be (2) (i.e. what Sarajit mentioned). But commercial version users can experiment with all three.
