Narasimha Rao,I would like to express my deep gratitude towards you for developing this amazing software for Vedic Astrology. I've never seen anything so comprehensive and accurate as this software. My interest in astrology is relatively new - for the last 6-7 years. I am trying to learn just the basics of vedic astrology at this point of time and this software does help me a lot.I've 2 different versions of this software that I've downloaded over a period of time : version 7.02 and ver 7.33. I am currently using ver 7.02 (because I couldn't find a way to get the current rashi, nakshatra, navamansha details for the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, in ver 7.33), and in that lately for the last 3-4 days (since the onset of Day light Saving Time), I've noticed that the software doesn't pick up the right time from the computer. For e.g., if the time in the computer is 8.30 am, then it will display as 9.30am in the "Basics" section of the software. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA. It shows me the time zone as 5:00:00 (West of GMT), however, doesn't display the time in the correct manner. I uninstalled and reinstalled the software as well a couple of times hoping that it might solve the problem.I was just wondering if you could show me a way to correct this aberration in ver 7.02, and also if you could guide me to get the current rashi, nakshatra, navamansha details for the planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, in ver 7.33.Will truly appreciate if you could help me out.Look forward to hearing from you.Kartik MehtaAtlanta, GA Get your new Email address! Guest guest
Manoj ji,Namaste.Though this mail is adressed to Narshimaji, I felt to chip in this could be the problem. Please check the system time and date on your computer by double clicking on the time in the system tray. If that is the case then you will need to replace the battery (small cheap one) so that the system time is running correct.Hope this helps. Guest guest
Namaste, Check if the computer's timezone is set correctly or not. Click on the clock at the right hand bottom corner of the computer. In the dialog box that comes up, set the correct time and click the " time zone " tab. Make sure you set the correct timezone (i.e. select " (GMT+5:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi " if you are in India). In JHora, open a new chart and change the co-ordinates to Ludhiana. Set it as the default location (in the " preferences " menu, select " Set Current Location as Default " ). Close JHora and re-open it. That should fix it. When JHora asks computer operating system to tell it what time it is now, it will look at system clock and also report the timezone. JHora will then find the time in GMT and convert it to the timezone of the default location. Thus, computer's timezone must be set correctly. Make sure you set the correct timezone (i.e. select "(GMT+5:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi" if you are in India). In JHora, open a new chart and change the co-ordinates to Ludhiana. Set it as the default location (in the "preferences" menu, select "Set Current Location as Default"). Close JHora and re-open it. That should fix it. When JHora asks computer operating system to tell it what time it is now, it will look at system clock and also report the timezone. JHora will then find the time in GMT and convert it to the timezone of the default location. Thus, computer's timezone must be set correctly.
