Guest guest
Dear Narasimha, Thanks for this update. Is there still plan for making this an open source? I am planning a non-profit and I was wondering if I could use this code in serving some important Panchang information. Guest guest
Namaste, I wanted to make this open source and get out of it. However, I was strongly advised by people whose judgment and intuition I trust to not do it at this time. I was told to control JHora during the next few crucial years and was warned that all the effort so far will go waste if I don't. As I trust the judgment of that person, I agreed to do so. Bottomline: JHora will continue to be a free software with source remaining with me, for some more years. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes to your plans. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha ji, I wanted to ask you this for sometime, and I got the answer in this post. But, is there a way for you to make JHora open ( not the source code) like providing an API, where people like to develop independent applications? I am currently learning Guruji R.G.Rao's system of Naadi astrology from Sri Satyanarayana Naik. I am actively involved in research of this system with Naik Guruji. My basic requirement is to get the Chart drawn for a given birth details, and Transit chart for the time of Prashna, and Muhurta calculation to get the Hora Lord and other details into a database (ex: SQL Server) and run my stored procedure with the Naadi rules and see if it matches the " Dictum " .. I am good at Database design and programming, but not the front end programming (Visual C++ .NET etc.. ). My understanding is, if you can make the Chart calculations etc. into a function call with well defined input, output schema, I can use it to call as an API and collect the output into my Database. Please see if this is a possibility with JHora or if you can guide me How to go about getting NATAL, TRANSIT & PANCHANGA data into my database to run my research. Anticipating a favourable reply, and Thank you for all your efforts to continuously updating JHora and making it available to public for free. Sincerely, Ravi Gollapalli. jhora , Narasimha PVR Rao <pvr wrote: > > Namaste, > > I wanted to make this open source and get out of it. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha ji, Can you please reply if the below request ( Providing API like feature for JHora) is possible? Also, can you implement the "Move birthtime <<Forward/backward>>" option to the "Show Transit calculations" option, so the Mixed 2-vargas chart (Inner Natal/ Outer Transit) will be more useful at arriving timing of events. Thnak you for a wonderful new release. Sincerely, Ravi Gollapalli. --- On Sat, 3/6/10, sbt_ravi <sbt_ravi wrote: sbt_ravi <sbt_ravi Re: Jhora 7.4jhora Date: Saturday, March 6, 2010, 5:24 AM Dear Narasimha ji,I wanted to ask you this for sometime, and I got the answer in this post. Guest guest
Dear Narasimha ji, If it is not too much trouble, can you please, please, please, implement the "Move birthtime <<Forward/backward>>" option to the "Show Transit calculations" option, so the Mixed 2-vargas chart (Inner Natal/ Outer Transit) will be more useful at arriving timing of events. Thank you very much, Sincerely, Ravi Gollapalli. --- On Tue, 3/9/10, Ravi Gollapalli <sbt_ravi wrote: Ravi Gollapalli <sbt_raviRe: Re: Jhora 7.4jhora Date: Tuesday, March 9, 2010, 11:48 AM Dear Narasimha ji, Can you please reply if the below request ( Providing API like feature for JHora) is possible?
