Dear Narasimha,

I apologize for so many posts on this issue, but JHora DOES show only 4 hours

west of GMT even though it is picking up the correct time at 12:40 PM today.

So at 4 hours west of GMT (the default) at 12:40 PM EST, the lagna is 0 Ge 33',

Moon is 16 Aq 54, Sun is 29 Aq 59.

When I manually enter 5 hours west of GMT in EST (Miami FL), the lagna is 14:17

GE, Sun is 00:02 Pi, and Moon is 16:56 Aq.

How can I adjust JHora so it reflects the time change accurately for DST (80 W

17' 25 N 42).

Many thanks,

Janna

The dayliht savings time IS 4 hrs west of GMT and not 5 hrs west of GMT. So I am

not sure what your problem is. If it is showing 4:00 hrs west of GMT on US east

coast and showing the correct time of 12:40 pm (it is 1:15 pm now), it seems

correct.

Thanks,

Narasimha

Namaste!

I have the same problem

DefaultLongitude=123.066667

DefaultLatitude=49.316667

DefaultAltitude=0.000000

DefaultTimeZone=8.000000

DefaultSummerTimeZone=7.000000

DefaultLocationCountryCode=39

DefaultLocationCityName=North^Vancouver

DefaultLocationCountryName=Canada

Above from the.ini

The program is still showing the old Pacific Standard even though the

computer changed this morning.

Got to run.

Thank you for your response, Narasimha.

Yes, JHora defaults 4 hours west of GMT according to my default location (EST)

for DST and 5 hours west of GMT for standard time. So apparently, I reversed in

my mind and thought the calculation should be opposite. I just want to make

certain it is accurate and will take your word for it.(It is 1:33 PM EST now

and this is the computer time as well, and the Moon is 17 Aq 20).

Namaste,

Your problem is not the same.

I don't even understand what Janna's problem is. She says timezone is shown as 4

hrs west of GMT, which is correct. I don't know why she expects 5 hrs west of

GMT.

Your problem is that daylight savings time change from April first Sunday to

March was implemented in JHora only for USA and not Canada.

I was not aware that Canada also made the same chane. Can you confirm it? What

is the latest Canadian definition and when did it come into effect? Same as US?

Thanks,

Narasimha

Hu!

As Canada operates on a similar communications, railroad and air

timetable it was implemented at the same time as the US rules. I am not

sure about Mexico but it may also be on a similar schedule. Anyways we

changed to DST today at 2am in BC.

Thanks
