May Lord

in all things!

At 16:56

– just a few minutes ago, I ran JHora v3.3. The default settings have

been changed to my home, Glen Rose, Texas, USA. The

following is copied from the JHora display upon startup:

Please

note that the time zone is correct for Glen Rose; however, the chart time is

17:56 – not 16:56. I believe this to be related to the difficulty Janna

Lynn is (was) having.

Have a GREAT Sunday, David

Namaste,

Do you mean 7.3 or 7.33?

JHora v7.3 had a problem that was fixed. Time shown was wrong by 1 hr. JHora

7.33 should be fine.

Janna said correct time is shown and she had an issue with timezone of 4 hrs

west. She was expecting 5 hrs west. However, 4 hrs is indeed correct. There is

no issue there.

Thanks,

Narsimha

My

apologies! The version I am running is version 7.33 (see graphic):

I

obtained this display when I opened/ran JHora at 8:20am – a few minutes ago. I

have also attached my JHora.ini file.

Have a GREAT Monday,

With

each installation, I have followed your instructions explicitly. As you can see

from the graphic I sent, the version IS 7.33, and I have not directly modified

the .ini file; as I don’t know how to do so. If there is some specific action I

must take to save the .ini file, please remind me what that action is.

Also, as

you suggested, I have checked my computer and the time zone IS Central Time;

i.e., 6 hours west of Greenwich.

Have a GREAT day, David

Re: Re: I believe

Namaste David,

The ini file you sent was NOT saved using JHora 7.33. One particular option

that was added in JHora 7.33 is missing in the ini file. Irrespective of how

you set the option, its value will be written in the jhora.ini file if you are

using JHora 7.33. So you were using either 7.32 or 7.3. Going forward, I am

adding an entry to the ini file to explicitly identify the version so that I

can know your version easily.

Please update to 7.33 or 7.4 beta4.

If you are using JHora 7.33, your timezone is Texas timezone (5 hrs west with daylight

savings time now) and the time displayed in new charts is one hour off from the

computer time, there is only one possibility I can think of.

Please check if your computer is set up for the correct timezone or not! Double

click on the clock at the bottom right corner on your desktop. It will show the

clock. There should be a " Time Zone " tab. Click on it and select the

correct timezone. If you live in Texas, select

" (GMT-06:00) Central Time (US & Canada) " .

Suppose your computer was originally set up for a timezone of " (GMT-05:00)

Eastern time (US & Canada) " .

When JHora queries the windows operating system for time, it will say

" time is 17:30 in eastern time " . JHora will convert it to your

default timezone (Texas

timezone you have set in JHora) and make it 16:30.

Thanks,

Narasimha

Namaste,

You need not and should not modify ini file manually. It is automatically saved

by JHora whenever you run JHora.

Please update to JHora 7.4 beta4 and verify that the issue is still present.

Send me the JHora.ini.

Then I will send you a special JHora.exe that generates a debug log. That will

enable me to debug it. Let us take this offline.

Please update to 7.4 beta4 and send me a private mail (pvr) with

jhora.ini and whether the problem is still present.

Thanks,

Narasimha
