My quest for knowing more about Lalkitab has prompted me to Join this group. Actually I have an idea which i wanted to share with you all. I intend to make a software that will calculate all the charts and positions and would possibly suggest Possible Upayas. Though this is in its nascent stage and the foetus is still in my mind but i wanted to have a discussion with you all before giving it a final shape. (I hope this software will help you get rid of crappy excel sheets) Rajinder ji,Jagmeet ji could you plz. help. and suggest ideas. Anybody with ideas can write me on the below mentioned EMail Id. Guest guest Posted September 30, 2003 Report Share Posted September 30, 2003 Aashish Jee, While your idea of creating what I will term as a LalKitab-centric software is praiseworthy and must be encouraged, I do want to put in my two cents worth in it. If you can create a software (or interface) which will create a horoscope as well as the appropriate annual progressed chart in one go, that will be a very worthwhile project. The user may be given an option to create an annual progressed chart for any desired year - that will be an added bonus. But I have very strong reservations about remedial measures being suggested by the software. I am not at all trying to discourage you but the fact remains that remedial measures must not be performed unless warranted. As is well known (according to LalKitab methodology) each planetary position is capable of giving benefic or malefic results. When a planet acts as a malefic (which is determined SOLELY based on planetary effects) ONLY THEN the remedial measures are called for, not otherwise. That distinction will be almost impossible to make via software. I belong to the school of if-it-ai'nt-broke-then-don't-fix-it. Software driven remedial measures will require us to always perform the measures, whether needed or not which could prove to be detrimental. Best wishes. Guest guest Posted October 5, 2003 Report Share Posted October 5, 2003 Aashish Jee Even though I tend to agree with Bhatia Jee's concerns, my bias is to still make these upayas available for the following reasons: a) Lal Kitab is also providing Upayas though the judgement that a particular upaya should be done or not resides with the interpretor whether a given planet is malefic or not.
