He is certainly abrasive at times which maybe good for some bad for some. I can stomach abrasion as long as it is not malicious/insulting. Just as you have pointed out to me why you found his communication offensive/objectionable you could have done the same to him. Your stature in this group is well known to all. Had you been forthright and constructive in raising your objections, wouldnt they have carried more weight coming from one of the senior group members? As to what you feel about Mr Bains, that is your personal view and I am sure you feel you have valid reasons to think that way. However given my aversion to controversies I will pass on this discussion. Further your evaluation of his knowledge is again your view, in this atleast I can say with confidence I have absolutely no competence to make a call either way, given my complete lack of knowledge of the subject. I will how ever point out he has tried to make ammends by being contrite. Maybe he deserves the benefit of doubt and is not evil as you would like to think? I will humbly submit to you that lets try to bury this controversy. If you choose to make an issue out of it, that Sir is your privelege.
