Here I quote from the book 1952 ed page 576 , mercury in the 11th house , mandee haalat sec# 3 " Varsh Pahl ke mutabiq khana # 9 ka budh khana # 11 mein aaya huwa howe aur teve wala kisi faqir , sadhu wagerah se koi taabeez lewe to budh poora jaroon se ukhaar dega , yaani had se jyadaa manda asar dega / " Lines , not identical , but similar in meaning occur in Arun sanhita [ chandigarh ed ] on page 198 top. Therefore there is no ban on keeping a tabeez if one already has it. The prohibition is in regard to accepting a tabeez from a faqeer or a sadhu in that year when the mercury of 9th in the janma kundali goes to the 11th in the varsh phal But most of the books available as notes on Lal Kitab donot carry the condition of prohibition , instead carry a blanket ban on keeping a tabeez, for example the Lal Kitab on our own groups file section { page 23 , remedies # 4 }. You explained the situation in its true soul.And that is what LAL KITAB says exactly regarding not accepting/keeping a Taveez/Tamisman etc. These sort of lapses are the visible result of study the subject from Bazaari Books. I hope Mr. Khattar will not feel offended from my side. Because my intentions are not at all malefide. He is one of our seniors, and being the senior most junior of the subject,I was surprised to hear this sort of precaution from him. Innovations are good upto some extent. But fabrications are not. I request the practitioners of LK to study the original book thoroughly before recommending remedial measures to innocent peoples. However there is a practical aspect to this issue,that of non-availability of the original texts even if one is willing to pay the price. I for one would love to acquire the original texts and learn urdu, irrespective of the effort it entails. However it is not for want of trying that it is not possible, it is simply because the original texts are just not available. If you know of a source where they can be acquired I shall be very grateful for this information.
