Dear Yogesh,

The problem faced by u is faced by almost all the beginners of

lalkitab. earlier i used to study by 1952 edition by comparing the two

books, one by hare krishna trust and one by swami keshavanand. i used

to study 1942 edition by comapring hare krishan trust with the

cyclostyled translation availble for Rs.500. but still i was at

crossroads. at last fortunately our group member Rajiv k Khattar gave

me the photocopy of the original version of 1942 book in urdu and

Yograj prabhakar gave me the copy of original 1952 edition. i am

indebted to these great persons. yograj prabhakar is himself a great

scholar of urdu and he is working on a project to rewrite the books in

hindi devnagri script but with original matter and words that is

without any change accompanied by a dictionary of urdu words used in

the book. i think it would be a great achievement if our group

moderator or anybody else can scan the original books and put them in

the files section. till then lajmi sahib if u know urdu then it's ok

otherwise u will have to wait for say at least one year to get an

authentic copy of lalkitab. presently there is no translated version

which can claim to be a ditto copy. every author has either omitted

some part or added some from himself, thereby polluting the whole

stuff. but something is better than nothing so i would suggest start

with whichever book u can lay your hands upon and keep on clarifying

your doubts on this group. at least i am working on this approach.

this group is the only place where you can get what you have in your mind.

Yogesh ji,

There is one Lal Kitab available in the file section of this group. It

is not the best one but ok to start with; especially where we have

nothing in softcopy format.

Also you can check my blog at http://www.astrocamp.com/Vedic Astrology/

to get some background of the book.

Regards,

Punit Pandey
