Yes, your Guru+Surya is in Aries house as per Vedic astrology, but your lagan according to Lal Kitab is Pisces, as your Shukra+Budh is located in 1st house, which is taken as "Takht Huzari." Guest guest Posted January 27, 2005 Report Share Posted January 27, 2005 Rajinder Ji, When using Parashara's or JNL to make this horoscope, Surya+Budh in lagan is under house 12, or Pisces, but it is the ascendant based on coordinates for Jalandhar cantonment. Yes, Guru+Surya is in 1st house (Aries) but not in lagan as per lal kitab. So strictly speaking, his lagan is with Surya/Budh according to Lal Kitab. As per Vedic astrology, his first house is occupied by Guru+Surya, which according to Lal Kitab comes in as house 2. I have the latest version of these software programs, so perhaps there are some differences among earlier versions. I hope this clears up the question. However, as per my earlier notes I have used Jalandhar Cantt coordinates to get the other lagna. The degrees are very close ... so chances are your horoscope may involve influences which are borderline between the two. You know where you were born best - all we can do is to try to calculate it accordingly.
