Dear Bhatia ji,

 

Sorry to disagree again. You have claimed that rahu signifies 'fire' .

 

Could you or Shri YograjPrabhakar ji please quote from the book the exact excerpts where Rahu has been identified as ‘fire’?

And how often ?

 

Rahu has been identified as smoke , at times as karwa dhuan , zahreela dhuan , manda dhuan etc .

In the Lal Kitab the identification is normally termed as ‘ gina hai’ or ‘gina gaya hai’ e.g. ‘ rahu gina gar dhuan hai’ page 236 A.S. {chaturth bhag} OR ‘ rahu gina gar dhuan hai bhatti’ - gutka AS p94

 

I am quoting below 39 exact excerpts , along with page numbers , from all the three editions 1939 ,41and 52 , to prove that Rahu is identified as dhuan apart from so many other things. These excerpts are from a small part of the books i.e only from the section dealing with rahu.

If I were to collect examples from all over the books , the list would extend by another score or two. I haven’t come across any reference of Rahu as fire .

 

There are just two references to fire ‘ aatish’ that too as an image , identifying Rahu as fever in human body , “ jis tarah zameen ke andar ek atishee lahar hai usi tarah hi insaani jism mein yeh ek bukhar ki halat mein hota hai”. The other is ‘aatishee bhoochal’ fiery earthquake or earthquake with lava eruption . Here it is used as an adjective for earthquake. Of course Rahu has been identified as earthquake also.

 

I am giving page numbers from Arun sanhita because quite a few members have an access to it and can verify my claim.

Priyaji,

 

In 1941 gutka edition, of Laxmi kant Vashisht,

page no. 150 (Rahu-Surya), it clearly states that

Rahu is karak for fire, theft and fever. No confusion.

Dear Priyaji,

 

Good analysis of LK, if we match it with other

shastras of Astrology like Brihat Samhita etc. it also

clarifies Rahu is the karaka for SMOKE and Mars is the

Karaka for Fire. Further, this is also being confirmed

by Indian and Chinese Vaastu perhaps slightly in

otherway, one has to understand it clearly and with

matured interpretation.
