Guest guest
Dear Dennis, Praying to a deity or to a planet does not count as an upaya per se unless there is a mental 'sankalp' { vow }that you are doing it as an upaya. Praying as a part of upaya alone will be counted as an upaya. Praying in general will not be counted as an upaya. Therefore no upaya rules apply to praying in general.
