Dear Dennis,

Praying to a deity or to a planet does not count as an upaya per se

unless there is a mental 'sankalp' { vow }that you are doing it as

an upaya. Praying as a part of upaya alone will be counted as an

upaya. Praying in general will not be counted as an upaya. Therefore

no upaya rules apply to praying in general.

Sincerely,

Priya

planetary problems count as an upaya?I do not mean just the stotras

but generally about praying in my own word etc...SO, should it be
