He should do them according to the rules of upaya given in the file section. [ 1 ] Bury deep in the mud under the water , in a river or pond , a little mustard oil filled in an earthen pot. Cement the lid so that the oil doesn't spill out into the water. Bury the pot at such a place where it stays under water the whole year round. Do not bring back home the digging tool. [ 2 ] Keep in his room a small solid silver toy elephant dipped either in rain water or Ganga jal. [ 3 ] Bury 7 square pieces of copper in a place where grass grows. He should not bring back home the digging tool. [ 4 ] Offer at a temple a handful of chana dal along with a little curds for 7 days regularly. [ 5 ] He should avoid taking milk at night. The thing is that he is studying in another city and lives in the hostel. In his absence I am planning to do the upayas for him with sankalp. Should I place the silver elephant in his room at home? He comes home only for holidays. If there is no such fear, then it should be kept in his hostel room. Or if you can find a very small toy elephant it could also be worn as a locket. Failing all that you can keep at home in his room where he lives during the holidays. The elephant I have bought is not small enough to be used as a locket. This is how I am planning: Currently I place it in his room at home, when he comes home for Christmas, I shall put the elephant in a plastic bottle in gangajal with tight lid and shall place the bottle in the pocket of his suitcase. I will ask him to just leave it in the pocket even in the hostel room. This way it will be with him also it will remain safe. Please confirm if that will be fine. Guest guest Posted December 4, 2006 Report Share Posted December 4, 2006 Respected Punditji, I am so sorry, when I checked the elephant on the shop, there was no hole but yesterday when i took it out to do the upaya I found that there was a hole in the bottom, means it is not all solid although its pretty hard but seems to be some little space in the middle. Is there anything that I can fill in the hole to make it solid and use it for upaya OR I just need another elephant. Please advise. I will always be indebted to you. God has really been kind to put me in contact with you. Punditji, this problem is very peculiar about my son. Whenever he comes home for holidays my husnad's behavior changes. Before he went to college, my husband was never so rude to him, but now its different. My husband keeps criticising him for liitle things, will keep reminding him that he is paying for his education, and truly use very harsh words and rough language, even makes him cry sometime although he is 20. With all this I fear that some day my son will stop coming home, after all how long can he take this humiliation? I don't know if there is something wrong with my son or with my husband. I am aware that my son has Sun debilitated in his horoscope, and Sun represtents father. Is this the reason that he is through this humiliation? My son is a very kind hearted and gentle boy. Can you please advise? I am short of vocabulary to thank you for your voluntary service to mankind, I can just pray God to give you everything you desire along with a very sound health, not only in the coming new year but for ever.
