Guest guest
Dear Kishore, Yes, you can do the upaya on the behalf of your daughter. If the priest gives you back a little rice as prasaad, it should not have been thrown either on the ground { zameen} or in a pond. She could have collected rice and kept it at home tied in a white silk cloth. Now nothing can be done to undo the throwing of the rice away. You should keep the rice which would be given to you on the last day of the upaya.
