Guest guest
Dear Raga, I use these two terms `malefic' and `afflicted' in the context of the Lal Kitab concepts. [ 1 ] In the Lal Kitab system NO planet is inherently malefic or benefic. Every planet can be a benefic or a malefic depending on [ a ] its placement in the Kundali and [ b ]this is important, our own actions. Even a benefic like Jupiter can be turned into a malefic if we ignore or ill-treat our elders, gurus or ancestors. Therefore the term malefic is not used in the same sense as it is used in the Vedic system. [ 2 ] The term `afflicted' is used both for a planet or a house. If a planet is conjoined by a malefic { LK definition}or aspected by it , then it will be called as afflicted. The same is true about a house also.
