Dear Dennis,

 

[ 1 ] The coin upaya is a horoscope specific upaya for you. It has

nothing to do with other 'Sun Upaya'. The other upaya mentioned for

the Sun are general upaya to appease the Sun.

[ 2 ] Offering water or reciting the stotra for sun can not be the

alternative to the coin upaya.

 

Now the logic of the coin upaya :
