The condition is caused by Moon, Saturn & venus in the Kendras. Saturn in the lagna & 4th from Moon aspecting moon & 6th house from moon. He is also aspecting venus in the 10th house & jupiter in the chandra lagna. Gulika in the 8th though in the rasi of jupiter, reduces the benefic effects of Jupiter in the chandra & karma sthana from lagna. Both the benefic planets Venus & jupiter are affected by Saturn. Venus : Kalatra stanadhipathy & kalatra karaka. Jupiter: Pragyna stanadhipathy & its karaka - One natural intelligence / sence of rights & wrongs etc. 10th house : Karma sthana. Moon : Mana(Mind) karaka & deha karaka. 4th House from Moon : Mind / body / mother / house / friends / vehicles. Lagna : whole self All the above are affected by Saturn : Duritha karaka, duritha sthanadhipathy that too in malefic (mars) house. Saturn thus deprives or prevents all kinds of happiness and creates a kind of depression & pravajya- a kind ascetic state. Jupiter is also not able to help much since it is also in the grip of saturn. Since Moon being the 12th house (poorva janma sthana), this condition is related to the persons previous birth A sapa lakshana- but we cannot coroborate it. so I do not want to go deep into that. The positive points here are Jupiter (though it is corrupted) is the kendra of moon Lagana lord is exhalted in the 9th. Jupiter along with Moon indicates that this condition should be primarily treated with medicines and it could be cured atleast to some extent - I am saying partially because saturn is very potent here being in a sthira rasi - so some residual effects will be permanent. Saturn in the kendra means - He will have to overcome the mental problems on his own. since it may not be possible, I would sugest to look at Jupiter - medicines. There are very good medicines available in Homeopathy for this condition. He may require atleast 1 year of medication, since Saturn is presently in the chandra rasi - Sade sathi period. Modern medicines have been able to control the condition to a small extent for almost 20 years. Now not much of effect. Your advice points to look beyond the modern medicines.
