Dear Prithvi,

Firstly I am 13 yrs younger to you so plz call me just Sameer :)

Yes you are currently under the Saturn's sub-period who is 4th MT

lord placed in 3 rd house.

There are couple of things you should learn about SA beore trying to

apply it on charts :

1. Functional nature

2. Sources of strength/weakness

3. MEP and Orb of affliction

4. Triple transit approach

During Sa antara you can expect results pertaining to its MT house,

its house of placement and its general significations.

Saturn is a functional benefic for you but its natally weak on the

account of old age. It has approx 25% natal strength and can give

better results if its strengthened through a kavach or blue sapphire.

As I mentioned earlier sub-period lord sets the trend but for day to

day affairs its better to go via transits.

Saturn is right now closely aspecting your 9th,11th,3rd and 6th

houses in transit. At the same time its being closely aspected by 6th

MT lord Mars. Once the Mars aspect fades away Saturn will provide you

with benefic results based upon its natal and transit strength.

You must have noticed some improvement in 3rd and 4th house matters

after Saturn's movement in Cancer from June'05 onwards. The reason

for this is because it gained strength in transit by coming out of

8th house placement over the period of last 2.5 yrs.

Please dont confuse traditional methods like 12th house placement

with SA as it will not lead you anywhere during your learning.

Regards,

Sameer

Hi Sameer,

You might be younger in age but you are senior in your SA experience.

I have tried on putting on a blue Sapphire but in the trial period keep

getting confusing results. What is the best time to try it on? Is it when

it is a saturday and there is a Nakshatra ruled by Shani or should it be

on a Saturday and in Dhanishta Nakshatra (the Nakshatra in which Shani is

placed in the Natal chart). Do you also think that things will improve

when Sa comes out of combustion on 11 August?

Choudhryji has suggested (on the website) a stone between 4.6 and 4.7

carats. Is there a reason for it, i.e why between 4.6 and 4.7 why not less

or more?

Hello Mr. Sharma,

Sameer has replied your message in full. Every SA astrologer can obtain

predictive & comprehensive capability like me with the help of the SA

principles.

Just to elaborate little bit further on the 12th house placement of a planet

from its mooltrikona sign - Saturn in your case. If the house of placement

is good the results would be good irrespective of the placement reckoned

from its mooltrikona sign. In my chart Mercury being lord of the fourth

house is in same placement as your Saturn is. In my son's chart the Moon

being the fourth lord is in third house - same situation as that of your

Saturn. My son is a chartered accountant and an MBA (Finance). So the

classical 12th house placement principle is far from the truth.

The aspect of Mars is not close to the MEP of the houses aspected in your

natal chart. Mars ruling your health, long run financial stability and your

position in terms of conflicts is under the close influence of Ketu. This

keeps the things challenging .

Best wishes,

Dear Choudhryji,

You are spot on.

I am also a CA (qualified in the UK) and have a pretty high level advisory

role in ABN AMRO head office. However, I never went to university, which I

could have done quite easily as I had good A level grades. I did a

foundation course and qualified as a CA not without hassles (like not

submitting my exam form on time). So it appears that the 4th house effect

is weak especially since the promise was greater, given that in my High

School (10th), I was pretty close to the merit list and was the blue eyed

boy of my teachers at my school in England. So, on balance I can say that

the 4th house effect was not in line with the promise. Of course it might

well be not because of the placement of its lord, Saturn. This has

possibly something to do with a habit of postponing things to the last

possible moment.( Any planetary reasons for that?).

What you say about Ketu is also in line with my intuition, that Ketu needs

to be propitiated to remove hassles.

Your teaching and guidance are always highly appreciated. Even if some

students have moved away from SA, they should always be gratefel to you.

Best wishes,

Prithvi

Hello Mr. Sharma,

The gem stones or Kavach are to be worn in an elected muhurata/auspicious

time.

The suggested weight in olden times was 5.25 rattis which is now equivalent

to 4.67 carats. So the range of weight is recommended betwen 4.6 carats to

4.7 carats.

Best wishes,

Dear Professor,

Its is presumed that a weight less that 4.6 carat wont be as

effective BUT, what is the repurcursion of wearing stones of weight

much more than that say 6 carat, have you observed the effect of

larger stones on a native.

I presume since we are strengthning benefics, it wont harm, but will

follow the law of diminishing returns, that means, more weight will

add marginal advantage over stones between 4.6 and 4.7 carat, while

the price would mean substantial increase.

Also larger stones tend to have more inclusions.

Please advice.

Dear Prithvi,

You should seriously consider strengthening Sun (10th MT lord) and

Jupiter (2nd MT lord) as both are weak and afflicted.

2nd house MEP is afflicted by MMP Venus. How has been your

finances, career, relationships and family life in general till now ?

Rather than spending a lot on procuring blue sapphire you can opt for

wearing a Power Kavach at an elected auspicious time which will

strengthen all the functional benefics for you.

At the same time you should pacify Venus,Mars,Rahu and ketu forever.

Sameer
