Even one stationary planetary influence on a natal position creates so much trouble that it is difficult to be borne. I am personally under the stationary planetary influence of transit Rahu and Ketu on my natal debilitated Mars, badly placed (8th house) Moon and Jupiter for the last few months and it is continuing for another 2/3 months. This is besides the transit conjunctions and weaknesses and bad placements. However, I am managing the time with the help of the astral remedies only with little pinch, of course. Not only I am myself managing but at the same time encouraging so many others during the difficult times. And at the same time replying to so many mails and meeting my family responsibilities. My experience with astral remedies is that their effects are subtle in the beginning but grow with time. They're also fun to do and become part of one's spiritual routine. The separation we feel with others, the birds and the animals diminishes. We become contributors. Thank you for sharing your time and knowledge with so many people. I have favored charity to mantras but do mantras to compensate for any shortcomings on the charity front. As far as charity for Ketu and Surya is concerned, feeding dogs and cows is completely out of questions becuase firstly, cows are not easy to get on a daily basis and I always stay away from dogs. If there is any other remedy for Surya and Ketu, I would like to get some options and apply what best suites for me. As for strengthening remedies, I have a Kavach which itself is runnning Rahu sub-period and I really cannot afford gems or even a new Kavach with my current income. So my story with remedies just ends there. I guess the effects of remedies and any transit related afflictions would have to be looked at in context of the natal chartwhich in my case is not good so basically whenever bad transits hit me, it hits me pretty bad and without proper stregthening remedies, it is misery to the extreme. As you have mentioned sometime back in Kali Yuga Karma yoga is the path to enlightenment and by the simple act of performing these remedies we are doing just that.For that we are all eternally greatful. This is no small feat one that not even many of the modern day swamijis(not to bring down anybody here) are able to achieve. So Kudos to you sir. Thank you for your time and energy not to mention the experience and knowlege you have shared that have benefitted/still benefitting all of us. Both are necessary, and you have given us both, for which I am grateful every day. I can't even imagine working without them anymore. As for the practice of astrology without access to remedial measures, it would be a source of continual misery. Till August 2003, things were just hopeless for me and evrything looked bleak to me. Then to fathom the reason for all my misfortunes,I inclined to astrology and luckily the first book on astrologyI could lay my hands on was on SA only. I started doing the charities immediately followed by Kavach and additional stones. The resulst are stupendous- Life changed alltogether.Everything started falling in place.My family life,financial status,mental tensions all turned positive. No SA regime is a part of my daily morning routine. I may miss my break fast but would never renege on my these morning charities. I have advised these a lot of people of different faith,religion and all have given me a positive feed back on this.
