In the Self Learning Course in Astrology a whole bunch of factors are listed that make a planet weak, ie combustion, being in a malefic house, debility in navamsa, being under 5 degrees and over 25 degrees etc. On the following page there are a list of factors that can make a planet stronger: being between 10-20 degrees, being in a sign of dignity etc. What I would like to know, is which would take precedence, strengths or weaknesses, if both conditions are present in a planet... eg would the sun be weak if it were 28 degrees Leo?
