I was concentrating on 3 rd and 11th house for this but couldnt make out why is this so ??. The third house lord jupiter is though week so we can say that there is a possibility of lack of younger sibling or younger male sibling ,which is kind of right because she has a younger sister , but about her older sibling (she has two older sisters) ,the 11th lord sun (male plane) is strong .So why is she not having a male elder sibling. Mercury is closely afflicted by Ketu. How is the Affliction of mercury by ketu realted to elder sisters as it is not lord of 11th.?? About younger sisiter ,was my analysis that jupiter is weak as it is karaka for male and lord of house of younger sibling ,so she has a younger sisiter?? Guest guest Posted December 5, 2005 Report Share Posted December 5, 2005 Hi Dev, I think our Professor meant Rahu is afflicting Mercury, not Ketu. If you look at the natal chart, you will see that also Mars is aspecting the 11th house and this is the closest aspect to the MEP of the 11th but from a planet that is weak in the chart, so maybe this influence would determine the sex... This is just a guess since you said the younger was female because Jupiter was weak, so it would make sense to say that if weak Mars aspects the 11th so close to the MEP then maybe this could justify the birth of another female. Having said that I know Mars was not there when his elder sister was born, but as we know all these things should nevertheless be there in his chart, and I think this is the way they were written, but I am not sure, I am just guessing. The sub periods of Mercury and Ketu were not in any way connected with the birth of elder brother(s). The sub periods of closely afflicted planets obstruct the desirable results. Can this be so?? Also do you think that a weak jupiter in this can cause a trouble in male child?? Can it deny child altogether??
