Guest guest
Greetings fellow students and esteemed Professor. I am new to your list and new to SA. So far, I have read only 'Astrology for Life'. I have ordered several of the Professor's books and materials, plus a Kavach, from David. I hope you will not mind a neophyte in your midst. In the beginning of ch. 2 of AfL, there is a brief section on aspects, stating, for example, that Saturn aspects the third and tenth houses from it's location, etc. My question is: Is this to be counted in both directions, ie. clockwise and counterclockwise, or only clockwise, for example? Also, is there a hierarchy of aspects by speed, orbit, weight, etc.? Meaning, for example, does Saturn apply to Mars or Mars to Saturn, etc.? I hope you will have patience with my beginner-level questions. Thank You, Terrance Wollin Cedarburg, WI b.Sept. 8, 1954 - 6:18PM Sheboygan, WI On Behalf Of siha Monday, December 05, 2005 5:58 PM Re: LEO IN 6TH Hello Dev, I add my replies/comments to your questions in your message appended below. Guest guest
Dear , I think you meant " clockwise " , not " counter clockwise " as mentioned below. For instance in the prasna chart below: Rashi Chart ******************************************************* *AS 07:52 *MAR14:30 * * * *RA 17:34 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ******************************************************* * * *SAR17:17 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *************** ************* *VE 01:43 * * * *MO 20:15 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ******************************************************* * *ME 01:14 *JU 14:47 *KE 17:34 * * *SU 20:14 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ******************************************************* we say, " Rahu aspects Saturn " . When we go " clockwise " from Rahu in Pisces to Saturn in Cancer, we find Rahu aspecting Saturn at 120 degrees. Or have I missed something? With regards. Guest guest
Oops. I just realised, in a North Indian style chart, one needs to go " counter clockwise " I am used to seeing charts in the South Indian format.
