Two Questions on Malefics

Dear Professor and List Members,

 

I want to confirm two points about malefics:

 

1. As we get older, does the orb of Rahu and Ketu

become wider in their influence and grow larger than 5

degrees?

 

 

2. When a malefic afflicts the MEP of a house, but the

malefic itself is not afflicted by any other planet,

does it become weak simply because it is on the MEP?

(excluding dusthana houses)
