Guest guest Posted June 12, 2006 Report Share Posted June 12, 2006 Dear Professor and list members, I am a Scorpio native and before I started to wear the Kavach, I was wearing a Yellow Topaz pendant while Jupiter was in Virgo transiting my 11th house. During this time I increased my income and had much good luck. What I don't know is whether this was attributed to a strengthening of Jupiter energy (lord of 2nd house in the 1st house) or because of the 11th house transit.(or both influences) After wearing the Kavach, things kept going well and my weak combust planets were protected while Venus, the MMP, was transiting Virgo. With Scorpio lagna, Mercury is lord of the 11th and Jupiter is lord of the 2nd. Currently I wish to select a gemstone to wear with my Kavach for wealth. Since Mercury is weak and afflicted by Rahu, I thought that a green jade pendant would help strengthen the 11th lord and increase income. Mercury is combust, debilitated in navamsa, in own sign, conjunct Rahu 77% and MEP 19% Since Jupiter is slightly in infancy and lord of the 2nd but placed in the 1st house (near MEP) I felt that this is also a good choice for strengthening since it is the lord of 2nd house and conjuncts 1st house MEP by 79%. Could somebody comment on what stone would be more suitable for increasing wealth? I've also read that its not customary to wear both stones because of conflicting energies. Guest guest Posted June 12, 2006 Report Share Posted June 12, 2006 Dear Mr. Dorio, You can absolutely wear both an emerald (Mercury) and a yellow sapphire (Jupiter) without any trepidation, even though Jupiter views Mercury as an enemy as per classical belief. Both are functional benefics. The confusing opinions are being put forth by those who don't understand the functional nature of planets. Jupiter rules your wealth and Mercury rules your income. Jupiter is quite strong in your chart, but Mercury is in difficult shape. So I would recommend an emerald over a yellow sapphire if you seek to wear only one gemstone.
