Guest guest
Hello Ash, Interesting question! I think everything has positive and negative attributes. Attributes of Mars are considered mostly negative because he is seen as an energy of "self-affirmation" often called aggression. Now if in a culture where women normally are not supposed to behave in a self-assertive way, Mars causes a "dosha" or a blemish. If we now think of a strong Mars in the chart of a woman who never knows how she is going to feed her family tomorrrow, this dosha could more be a blessing than a curse. So I think that we have to understand this dosha in the frame of a very traditional and male dominated culture. I also tried to travel around with Mars in the chart and I saw the following : If Mars is in the 12th then he is LA of 5th, LB of 12th,LC of 8th, LD of 3th, LE of 7th. Now 5th,12th,8th, and 7th all have something to do with the spouse and 3th is for initiative, daring, energy.... I think influence of Mars on these houses is not seen as "good" because the lady would be too self-assertive. Mars in other houses can be looked at in the same way. I don't know if this dosha is also considered in the male chart. In mail 1168 Krushna states that such a Mars will create problems in married life, (if there are not other factors that limit this dosha)but it was the chart of a lady, so it would be good to know if this dosha also exists for male chart. Thank you for bringing this up. I probably take too much for granted ..... makes me think things over again Best regards Margarita ashsam73 [ashsam73]Wednesday, July 02, 2003 1:50 PM Subject: Manglik DoshaDear Krushnaji, Margarita and list members,I was going throught his mail in the past. Krushnaji has explained about Manglik Dosha./message/1168I am trying to understand Mars in 12th, 1st, 4th, 7th or 8th house causes this Dosha. Why is it that in India this is considered a Dosha. I am trying to understand this using A,B,C,D,E houses considering 12th, 1st, 4th, 7th and 8th house as B.Mars we know is the "Sexual Barometer" in a female chart. So does Mars being in this postion make is strong ???... Is a strong Mars bad all the time ?In todays world were you find lots of women as CEO and in very high up powerful positions also would have a strong Mars. So I am trying to understand Why is this considered to be a Dosha ?Wouldnt a strong Mars make a person Bold and Aggressive and probably competative ? Or is there something else to it ?If Mars is strong in female chart and called a Dosh.. this is there a parallel in Male chart called a Dosha of Venus ???Any insights will help ?Thanking you,Cheers !!!Ash

Guest guest
Dear Sir, As we all know that on 20th April, Aishwarya Rai got married to Abhishek Bachan. She has Libra ascendant and Mars is placed in seventh house at around 5 degrees. As per SA, she is not Manglik. It is just Mars which is exactly afflicted by Rahu from 3rd house. Since, Mars is afflicted, that means her married life would be disturbed. As per Vedic astrology, she has been labeled as Manglik as Mars is placed in seventh house and before getting married to Abhishek, she got married to a Peepal tree, a banyan tree and to a God to ward off Manglik dosha. Sir, does system approach have any place for such remedies as far as Manglik dosha is concerned. A Manglik person has to marry another Manglik to ward off Mangal dosha. Will not this create more problems in their married life. Regards Vinod. Ahhh...imagining that irresistible " new car " smell? Check outnew cars at Autos. Guest guest
Hi Sambhav, The Professor has answered the general questions; you should note that the many versions of the natal details availabe for Ms Rai on the internet shouldn't be treated as reliable. 1/11/73 at 4:07 am in Mangalore, were the most frequent details that I came across a few months ago, and it didn't match the observed. I did a quick switch to 1972 on a hunch, and this was a far more fitting chart. However, it's all speculation without full rectification. Best regards, Vyas Munidas - <siha Sunday, April 22, 2007 2:21 AM Re: Manglik Dosha Hello Vinod, I add my replies/comments to your questions in your message appended below.
