Guest guest
Dear Guruji, The sign is called 'MOON Sign' if Moon is natally placed in the sign. Isn't the sign should be called as 'SUN Sign' if Sun is natally placed in the sign? I am asking this because in Newspaper I find reference 'SUN Sign' as per fixed 1 month intervals. When I see my own horoscope - SUN is placed in TAURAS instead of Gemini which should be in Gemini as per fixed month intervals. Kindly clarify. Guest guest
Hello Deepak Kumar, The Sun sign astrology is only for newspapers and some western astrologers use it. It is absolutely useless concept. One should see transit impact only through the ascending sign and with reference to one's own natal planets. Best wishes. - " Deepak Kumar " <deepsawan Thursday, June 14, 2007 11:47 AM SUN SIGN | Dear Guruji, | | The sign is called 'MOON Sign' if Moon is natally placed in the sign. | | Isn't the sign should be called as 'SUN Sign' if Sun is natally placed | in the sign? | | I am asking this because in Newspaper I find reference 'SUN Sign' as | per fixed 1 month intervals. | | When I see my own horoscope - SUN is placed in TAURAS instead of | Gemini which should be in Gemini as per fixed month intervals. | | Kindly clarify. | | Best regards | Deepak Kumar | | | | |
Guest guest
dear deepak... many newspapers use western position of the planets. in western astrology and tropical zodiac, your sun sign may be in gemini. in vedic astrology and the sidereal zodiac, your sun sign may be in taurus. the sun transits one sign for a duration of 30 days, usually from mid-month to mid-month. evaluating the strength or weakness of the sun is relevant. however, it is better to read the chart from the ascendant, which changes every two hours of the day, and is much more specific to the individual. transits can be read from the ascendant. best wishes, david hawthorne - Deepak Kumar Thursday, June 14, 2007 1:17 AM SUN SIGN Dear Guruji, The sign is called 'MOON Sign' if Moon is natally placed in the sign.
