Guest guest
Dear and list members, My sister recommended that I watch this movie called, " The Secret. " This philosophy somewhat conradicts astrology and stresses the power of positive thought to attract things into your life that you want. There may be some truth to " circular reasoning but I do think that " wishful thinking " is a fallacy. I give this simple example of how this law of attraction may be untrue. Some Americans play the stock market with zest and enthusium wishing that they will become rich some day. They think this and dream this and constantly envelop this into their mindset. But some end up losing all they have as a result of this. Did they not attract prosperity into their life? I want to share this discussion with the group and explore what the metaphysical realities of life truly are. If you have not seen this movie, you can see the first 20 min. of it on youtube.com (The Secret by Rhonda Byrne). Best regards, John Dorio ______________________________\ ____ Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Hello John, To transcend karma, one needs a tool to erase prevailing negative factors and balance bodily energies to create an environment where intent plays a vital role in attracting that which is good. The only tried and scientifically tested method of achieving this is the transcendental meditation introduced to the planet by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. One can transcend one's life above the sway of the planets and make enduring karma much much easier. To my mind " The Secret " is a cute Christmas carol. Better to write to Santa Claus, to get what one wants. Don't ya think? Guest guest
Hi John, There are some people who don't believe in God because they can't see Him. However, one needs to be qualified. To see the flesh and bones President in your own country, you cannot just will it to manifest. Similiarly, positive thinking to manifest a better reality requires qualification and process, not simply desire.
