When I last visited India in Jan 08, my co-brother (wife's sister's husband) asked me to take a look at his chart (details placed below). His lagna falls at 29*29' in Libra, using Lahiri ayanamsa. The birth time is recorded as 3 am. As we know, such rounded off birth times are suspect. If the birth time is changed to 3:03 or later, the lagna changes to Scorpio. The local astrologer in Thanjavur has actually recorded the lagna as being Scorpio in his horoscope chart using the ayanamsa that THEY use. In his chart, Me is at 1*27' in Sagittarius. For either lagna, Me will be very close to the MEP of the 2nd house. However, for Libra lagna, Me becomes the MMP while for an early Scorpio lagna, Me will then become a benefic. Rahu/Ketu affliction is not present. Can I request you to kindly see what his lagna should be? I am giving below a few major points in his life. * He is a business man, dealing in the manufacture and sale of handloom silk sarees. He has enjoyed a fair amount of success in his business and is doing fairly well. He lives in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu * He has a son, aged 14 and a daughter, aged, 23. Daughter not married as yet. * He has been having some health problems for the past few years but is now under control * His wife was also having some health problems for some years now but is again under control. * He is the 2nd son among four brothers. All 4 brothers enjoy a fair amount of material success in life. * He and his wife are of very fair complexion. Both are quite short in body height. I'll be much obliged for your expert opinion.
