Dear Professor,

That's one more for the list, and it's very important. But, not exactly my

question. This thread has brought some good light on finer subjects. Thank

you.

In the Rashi chart the planet is badly placed, AND also debilitated in

navamsa, what would the strength be?

Hello dear Vyas,

OK. By DH you meant dusthana house.

When a planet is both a) badly placed and b) debilitated in navamsa it will

lose 40% strength of its strength in the rasi chart.

Best wishes.

Dear Professor,

My question was: if the planet is both a) badly placed and b) debilitated

in

navamsa...

I've catalouged all the conditions so far and this query above refers to

the

last condition below:

In SLH/L +25%

In Leo +25%

Debilitated -50%

Badly placed -50%

Closely combust (FM Sun) up to -75%

Closely conjunct (FB Sun) up to +25% (Can PROMOTE in life)

Closely combust (FB Sun) up to -50% (Cannot PROTECT in transit affliction)

D9 Debilitation -25%

Combust, Debilitated, and in DH up to -90%

Debilitated and in DH -75%

Weak and in afflicted H -75%

Strong and in afflicted H -50%

Closely afflicted and weak up to -75%

Closely afflicted, but strong up to -50%

D9 Debilitated and in DH ?????????

Dear Professor,

Thanks Professor. I don't think I made my second question clear, I'll try

again.

When a planet is placed in a DH and is also debilitated in navamsa, what %

strength loss will occur? It would have to be less than 75 and greater

than

50 I imagine.

Re: Strength

Hello dear Vyas,

In the case of planet in the natal chart placed in a house whose lord is

debilitated, the principle of dispositor would be applicable. Little

significance in the case of D-IX where a planet is placed in the MT sign

house of a debilitated house.

Best wishes.

Re: Strength

Dear Professor,

Thank you very much for your response.

Another question - below you are referring to exactly afflicted MTH houses

and closely afflicted non-MTH houses, right?

" A weak planet placed in an afflicted house will lose strength to the

extent

of 75%.

An otherwise strong planet placed in an afflicted house will lose strength

to the extent of 50%. Such a planet will give good results in the first

place and will cause setbacks later "

Also, what about the case of a planet in a DH and debilitated in Navamsa?

Re: Strength

Dear Professor,

Thank you for your explanation.

I've got it, but let's use an example for the benefit of all, using Leo

Asc

with the FBs Sun and Mercury exactly conjunct in the 11H at 15 degrees,

and

the Sun is fully strong. Please confirm.

OK.

The understanding for this Mercury is that it will PROMOTE its

significations 125% in life, but will be considered to have only 50%

strength to PROTECT its significations during the transit affliction.

RIGHT.

Also, we consider this Sun to have 125% strength being conjunct the LO2,

although combust, right?

RIGHT.

Additionally, " A planet becoming weak due to close combustion will lose

strength to the extent of 75% if the Sun is a functional malefic planet, "

so

we only bother calculating weakness due to combustion within the 5 degree

orb?

YES, IN THIS CASE.

One more question - is there any quantification for the strength gained by

a

FB planet if exactly on the MEP? I suspect 25% gain from studying

financial

markets.

ITS INFLUENCE IS MORE.

I would like to thank you for quantifying and explaning these situations,

it

is very useful especially for those of us who need to have the

mathematical

side of the brain satiated.

OK. WELCOME.

Re: Strength

Hello dear Vyas,

A planet becoming weak due to close combustion will lose strength to the

extent of 75% if the Sun is a functional malefic planet.

Where the Sun is a functional benefic and it causes combustion to another

planet, the planet will become 50% weak for the purpose of transit

affliction.

A combust planet in its sign of debilitation and placed in a malefic house

will have only 10% power. This refers to both natal and transit

situations.

Best wishes.

Re: Strength

Dear Professor,

Regarding the combust planet strength below, this refers to both the

transit

and natal situation? You've said that the FB Sun conjunct another FB,

gives

exponential rise to that planet in the rashi, but is vulnerable to the

transit weakness and affliction.

When a planet is both a) badly placed and b) debilitated in navamsa it

will

lose 40% strength of its strength in the rasi chart.

Best wishes.

Re: Strength

Dear Professor,

My question was: if the planet is both a) badly placed and b) debilitated

in

navamsa...

I've catalouged all the conditions so far and this query above refers to

the

last condition below:

In SLH/L +25%

In Leo +25%

Debilitated -50%

Badly placed -50%

Closely combust (FM Sun) up to -75%

Closely conjunct (FB Sun) up to +25% (Can PROMOTE in life)

Closely combust (FB Sun) up to -50% (Cannot PROTECT in transit affliction)

D9 Debilitation -25%

Combust, Debilitated, and in DH up to -90%

Debilitated and in DH -75%

Weak and in afflicted H -75%

Strong and in afflicted H -50%

Closely afflicted and weak up to -75%

Closely afflicted, but strong up to -50%

D9 Debilitated and in DH ?????????

Re: Strength

Hello dear Vyas,

When planets are placed in their signs of debilitation in birth chart and

navamsa both, they lose strength by 75%.

Dear Professor,

Regarding the combust planet strength below, this refers to both the

transit

and natal situation? You've said that the FB Sun conjunct another FB,

gives

exponential rise to that planet in the rashi, but is vulnerable to the

transit weakness and affliction.

1. Let say that the dispositor of a planet has 50% strength natally.

So that means that any otherwise strong planet placed in its sign will

have 50% strength?

RIGHT.

2. What would be the strength of a combust planet?

50%

3. What would be the strength of a combust, debilitated, badly placed

planet?

Dear Sir,

About loss of strengh by combustion, is it relevant to make a diference

betweew light and deep combustion ? For example, Mars is combust within 17°

on either side of the Sun. But I guess it lose more strenght at 0° than at

17°. Am I wrong ?

Re: Strength

Dear Sir,

About loss of strengh by combustion, is it relevant to make a diference

betweew light and deep combustion ? For example, Mars is combust within 17°

on either side of the Sun. But I guess it lose more strenght at 0° than at

17°. Am I wrong ?

Best regards,

Jolastro
